Withdrawal A student seeking to discontinue his/her studies on a permanent basis must apply to withdraw from the programme. Students who withdraw from a programme must reapply to the institution to seek re-entry. A student wishing to withdraw from a programme of study must complete a Programme Withdrawal Form (in duplicate) and submit it to the Head of Department or other Authorising Officer for approval, after discussion with the relevant Programme Coordinator or Centre Manager. These forms are available at all UCC Centres and via the website. Note: The date on which the withdrawal request is received by the Programme Coordinator or Centre Manager will be used as the withdrawal date for computing any refund in accordance with the Institution’s current tuition refund policy. •

Where no request for programme withdrawal is received in writing, the student is deemed to have ‘unofficially’ withdrawn from the programme. Unofficial withdrawal results in 100% forfeiture of tuition and grades of ‘F’ will be recorded for the semester’s grades. When an ‘unofficially’ withdrawn student wishes to resume or re-enter the programme after one (1) academic year, he/she is required to reapply and pay the tuition fee applicable at the time of the reapplication. He/she will be required to submit a new application and be subject to all the requirements applicable to new students entering the institution and will also be liable for the costs as per UCC’s policies and practices.

Cancellation of Registration for a Semester Students who wish to cancel their registration for a given semester must use the Leave of Absence process. No record of attendance will be made on the student’s transcript for the given semester. The last day for complete cancellation by any student is the end of the Add/Drop period. Students receiving permission for complete cancellation of registration will receive a full tuition refund minus the required deposit.

Resumption of/Re-entry to a Programme: • For a student to be readmitted to a programme he/she must complete in duplicate, the Re-Admission Application Form and submit it (along with any required documents) to the Registrar by the end of the Late Application Period for the relevant semester; the relevant administrative fee must be paid at the time of submission. Persons who are re-admitted into the programme will be subject to any increased tuition fees or amended regulations applicable at the time of re-entry.
