SECTION III DEGREE AND NON-DEGREE PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS Standard Entry Requirements The following are the standard entry requirements for specific categories of programmes: •
Certificate Programmes/Seminars: Entry into certificate programmes will depend on the programme of study and is dependent on an assessment of applicants’ qualifications and experience.

Diploma Programmes: To enter any of the UCC Diploma programmes candidates must satisfy the following: 1. Three (3) CSEC / GCE subjects at the General Proficiency level with passes at 1, 2, 3or A, B, C. English Language and Mathematics must be included. (A CSEC level 3 pass will only be accepted where this has been obtained since 1998.) 2. Mature candidates may gain entry into a diploma programme using the mature candidate entry route as previously outlined.

Persons may in successfully completing the first two years of a UCC Bachelor of Science degree programme may apply for and receive an Associate of Science degree programmes. For entry into the UCC Bachelor of Science degree programme beginning at year one (1) candidates must satisfy the following requirements: 1. Five (5) CSEC/GCE General Proficiency Level subjects, grades A, B, C or 1, 2, 3. English Language and Mathematics must be included. (A CSEC Level 3 pass will only be accepted where this has been obtained since 1998.) Other relevant qualifications may be submitted to the Admissions Committee for evaluation. •
Conditional Acceptance 1. Conditional 1: Acceptance in this category may require that a candidate successfully complete co-requisite courses. These co-requisite courses must be pursued concurrently with the main programme of study. Co-requisite courses are offered through the UCC Pre-College Programme and other approved programmes. All programmes must be completed within the approved timeframes stated in the admission letter. 2. Conditional 2: Mature candidates may gain entry into a Bachelor’s degree commencing at year one (1)) of the programme using the mature candidate route as previously outlined. Persons without qualification at the Associate of Science degree level will not be offered acceptance into years three and four.
