To commemorate his 90th birthday, Kurt Samuel and Ellen have donated an unusual miniature Torah Shield, crafted in Western Europe after the Second World War. It is a lovely and most suitable addition to the Museum’s collection, as it could be used on the small Torah Scroll in the Temple Ark, which at present has no decorations.
