Places To Travel: Exotic Holiday Destinations There is no single response to the question of where are the very best places traveling on vacation. The very first question to ask isn't what place to go but instead what sort of traveler have you been? What Type of Traveler Are You? * Are you a Phileas Fogg? Have you been a global traveler who measures success by the number of countries visited? * Have you been a Robinson Curuso? Can you take pleasure in the out from the way and off the beaten path? * Are you currently a Geoffery Chaucer? Is the trip more about the people you travel with compared to destination? * Are you currently a Henry David Thoreau? Can be your ideal vacation just a peaceful place near home? There are lots of different traveling styles or different goals for travel. * You are able to happen to be get away from it all. * You are able to happen to be understand a new culture. * You are able to travel to the party. * You are able to happen to be reconnect with family and friends. * You can travel for adventure. What's Your Travel Style / Budget? Many people would prefer to stay in the home than remain in any place that did not need 5 stars. Others could not imagine staying in anywhere more fancy than a youth hostel. Some who would love to keep at the fancy resort can't afford to. Before you travel you'll need to find out your travel budget and style. What kind of style you like can help determine where you could afford to travel and for how long. My partner and I planned a visit to Hawaii before our first child was born. After considering our budget we'd to choose a road visit to San Diego will be a better option. One if by Land, Two if By Sea... Three if By Air? Do you want road trips? If so how about a domestic itinerary. If you like the outside or history you may visit national parks. If you like sports consider a tour of major or minor league ballparks. If you prefer big city lights would a visit to New York, Chicago or Las Vegas be within your range? Do you like cruises? Consider only packing and unpacking once and letting your hotel (ship) travel from port to port. From the East coast of the United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean are both

easily accessible. From the west coast, Mexico or Alaska offer completely Beach Holidays different vacations. If you love to fly and are able to afford after that it Europe, Africa, Asia, and South America beckon. Europe offers familiarity for American visitors but with lots of history. Europe offers destinations from the familiar London and Paris to less familiar destinations like Croatia, Slovenia and Estonia. You have to be willing to deal with another language or driving on one other side of the road. Africa offers unforgettable wildlife experiences or the wonders of ancient Egypt. In addition it offers ancient churches dug to the rocks of Ethiopia or remote destinations like Timbuktu. It will need many travels to obtain further outside their comfort zone. Asia offers ancient cultures and new economic powerhouses. Your trip could be to overwhelming places like New Delhi that may challenge even veteran travelers or safer more familiar destinations like Singapore. South America offers better exchange rates than Europe but less political stability. It offers European style cities like Buenos Aires or ancient Incan cities like Machu Picchu. Something I have discovered from hosting the Amateur Traveler for over four years is that there are many more places traveling than I'd originally considered. It'd never occurred in my experience to: * Head to Tonga and swim with whales. * Start to see the stone churches in Ethiopia. * Do an evening tour of Petra in Jordan. * Begin to see the wild horses in Mongolia. The more I learn about travel the more places I wish to go. What is the better place traveling to? For me personally, it is always another place. Chris Christensen may be the host of the most popular Amateur Traveler travel podcast. Places have Geographical features which are exclusive and unique. Places have been around for a large number of years and have accumulated a rich history and associated culture, art, architecture and folklore. It's difficult to see these through books or the internet. The places have to be traveled to obtain the authentic experience. At some point in life, after college, after retirement, during business trips, during holidays, a long trip outside your country of residence can make you see the world for yourself. With an increasingly global economy, the international travel experience is a resource which is often a major advantage in a competitive situation. You can find known and important places which are frequently visited e.g. London, New York and major capitals of Europe and North America. These places have grown to be an amalgamation of different cultures and visitors also develop into a area of the same. However, close to the same places and in the same countries, are less known places which may have a definite and unique culture and these exotic places are in general more pleasurable for the reason that what you see

there's something new and about which not much has been written. Mcdougal writes about such places predicated on his personal experiences during visits to these places.
