SMOKE SCHOOL: VISIBLE EMISSIONS TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION Monday, May 19 from 7 am-1 pm SouthArk CFWD, Room 121 and back parking lot $360/person Compliance Assurance Associates, Inc. provides complete smoke school training in accordance with 40 CFR 60 Appendix A, Method 9, Method 22, 203A, 203B, 203C. Upon completion of the lecture and field training your personnel will be ready to read and completely document their readings in a defensible format. GENERAL INFORMATION -Arrive 20 - 30 minutes early for registration. -The field certification takes place outdoors and takes place whether rain or shine. As long as the visibility is greater than three (3) miles, and there is no lightning, the field runs continue. Poor visibility and lightning usually pass within an hour or two, and the field runs can resume. -Good long-distance vision is required for field certification. Students are advised to remember that whatever eyeglasses or sunglasses (prescription or nonprescription) you wear during the certification test are REQUIRED every time you actually do VE readings. OTHER THINGS TO BRING -Office supplies: clipboard, note paper, pen (not pencil) -Rain gear: umbrella, raincoat, visor. -Comfort supplies: lawn or camping chair, hat, snack, bottled water, sunscreen. About the instructor… Arthur “Art” Eberle, President and CEO. Eberle received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Christian Brothers University and M.B.A. from the University of Memphis. He worked within a Fortune 100 for nearly a decade in both Environmental and OSHA regulatory compliance. He developed a safety training program for REC, and in 1997 founded Compliance Assurance Associates, Inc. and subsequently developed the Method 9 Opacity Training program offer by CAA, Inc.

8 HOUR HAZWOPER REFRESHER This course is AVAILABLE ON DEMAND 8:00 am – 5:00 pm SouthArk CFWD, Room 141 $50/student This one-day course meets the requirements in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for eight hours of annual refresher training for workers at hazardous waste sites. A 24-hour HazWoper initial training is a required prerequisite for taking the 8 hour HazWoper Refresher. If someone has gone two years without refresher training, they need to retake the initial HazWoper course.

Each class will meet from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. SouthArk CFWD, Room 141 $50/student This one-day course meets the requirements in OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 for eight hours of annual refresher training for workers at hazardous waste sites and allows contractor employees to earn their C-STOP badges for entrance into participating company gates. A 24-hour HazWoper initial training is a required prerequisite for taking the 8 hour HazWoper Refresher.
