Lomey Design Dish Raffia Cool Glue

Instructions:

1. Glue the pedestal to the design dish. 2. Fully inflate an 11" Orange latex, let some air out until it’s about 7" (18cm), and tie. Tie a 260Q scrap to the knot; this will create a second attachment point later on. Make an Apple Twist in the balloon (see “Apple Twist” below). Position the Apple Twist so that it is closer to one side of the balloon instead of in the center. This will create one section of the “pumpkin.” TIP: You can position the twist while you’re making it, or use your hands to work it to one side after the twist is done. 3. Repeat Step 2 to make five more 11" Orange latex balloons with Apple Twists. Tie the balloons into pairs using the excess 260Qs. 4. Wrap each pair from Step 3 around the pedestal and arrange them side by side. Use the remaining excess 260Qs to tie the balloons together so they are now attached on either side. This will help to keep the round pumpkin shape. 5. Make a 4-balloon cluster with 5" Mocha Brown latex inflated to 4" (10cm) (see “4-Balloon Cluster” on pg. 2). Wrap this cluster onto the top of the pedestal.

Apple Twist 1. With your right index finger, push the knot all the way through the balloon and grasp the knot between the thumb and index finger of your left hand. 2. Carefully remove your right index finger while holding the knot securely with your left hand and twist the balloon several times with your right hand. 3. Stretch the knot out away from the balloon with your left hand and wrap a piece of uninflated 260Q balloon tightly around the knot twice with your right hand. Tie the 260Q securely and trim the ends if desired.

4-Balloon Cluster 1. Inflate and size two balloons, then tie the necks together. Repeat to make a second pair, then twist the two pairs together to make a 4-balloon cluster.

Curly 160Qs 1. Fully inflate the 160Q with air, and let out the air to stretch the balloon. 2. Wrap the 160Q around a cylindrical object, stretching it a littleas you go and making sure not to wrinkle or twist the balloon. 3. Air inflate the 160Q while holding it around the cylinder, and tie. As it inflates, the 160Q will curl around the cylinder.

6. Repeat Step 5 to make another 4-balloon cluster of 5" Mocha Brown latex inflated to 2" (5cm). Wrap this cluster onto the pedestal below the previous cluster, making sure they nest. 7. Make a Green Curly 160Q, leaving about 1" (2.5cm) uninflated (see “Curly 160Q”). Tie the knot end onto the pedestal in the center of the pumpkin, and wrap the 160Q up around the pedestal. Tie the uninflated end into the 4" cluster at the top of the pedestal. Repeat this step to make another Green Curly 160Q and wrap it around the pedestal. 8. Make three fully inflated Green Curly 160Qs. Tie the knot ends onto the pedestal in the center of the pumpkin. 9. Inflate six 5" Mocha Brown latex to about 3" (8cm) and tie them into pairs. Twist the pairs together at the knots to make a 6-balloon cluster. Wrap this cluster onto the pedestal so it rests snugly on top of the pumpkin. To do this, separate two of the balloons, push them onto the pedestal, and twist together the two balloons that were separated. 10. Make a Mocha Brown Curly 160Q, and tie the knot end into the 6-balloon cluster from Step 9.
