BECOME WHISTLE WORTHY LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION COURSES

HEALTHY AIR for HEALTHY FAMILIES You know that “chlorine smell” you catch a whiff of at the Y? It’s caused by chloramine, a by-product of chlorine disinfectants commonly used in pools. Chloramines can cause skin & eye irritation, respiratory problems, & can have negative environmental impacts. The Y has a plan to move away from chlorine disinfection in our pools & will install a new UV disinfection system in our Aquatic Center before the end of this year. We’re launching a Healthy Air for Healthy Families campaign to raise funds needed to install this equipment, which will improve the air/pool water quality, open up new fitness/ recreational opportunities for chlorine sensitive individuals, & improve the comfort & health of the thousands of people who use our Y. If you’re interested in supporting this campaign with a financial donation, please contact Mike Kramp at or mike.kramp@glymca.com. 262-248-6211 Corporate Sponsorships packages are available.
