A Healthy Summer Happens Here! The Y… For A Better Us™
There’s nothing like summer in Lake Geneva! Our YMCA has an exciting program line-up that will give you a sunny season of fit family fun and healthy options. Many happy memories will be made and character will be built in our youth sports programs, swim lessons, summer camp, fitness programs, and more. Our new rock climbing wall and Wibit (an inflatable aqua obstacle course) will certainly add to the excitement (see page 7 for details)! You can look forward to these new adventure features in late spring. In other news, our 2016 YMCA Annual Giving Campaign is on a tremendous track to success thanks to all of our generous donors! Gifts to the YMCA Annual Giving Campaign support our YMCA financial assistance & community outreach programs. In 2015, we provided more than $60,000 in support to area families, and the need is proving to be even greater this year. With your support, we’ll meet every need and carry out our mission of never turning any child, family, or senior away due to their inability to pay for programs or membership. Thank you for helping us provide this life-changing service to our community! If you are interested in supporting the YMCA Annual Giving Campaign, you can give securely online at GenevaLakesYMCA.org/Donate. Or, you can contact me directly at 262-248-6211 or mike.kramp@glymca.com. God bless you. It’s going to be a great summer at the YMCA! - Mike Kramp, CEO/Executive Director—Geneva Lakes Family YMCA

GROWING STRONGER TOGETHER YMCA MEMBER SUCCESS STORIES
These are the faces of a few of the people that benefited from your generous gifts to the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA over the past year. Here are their stories. Find these stories & more on GenevaLakesYMCA.org/Stories.
YMCA SPLASH - More Than Water Safety: SPLASH is the
YMCA’s drowning prevention & water safety initiative that we offer as a FREE community service to Walworth County 2nd graders through their schools. This program touched the lives of two brothers who lost their mom to a terminal illness. Not only did the boys learn life-saving swimming skills, but their time in the water with peers & encouraging instructors got them to smile & laugh again. Your donations made this possible. Thank you.
Diamond’s Story: Following a heart-breaking miscarriage, Diamond slipped into a deep depression & experienced extreme weight gain. She turned to the Y for support. Using the YMCA financial assistance program, Diamond & her family joined the Y. She got involved in Zumba & connected with others in the Y community. Today, Diamond’s overcome depression, is living a healthier lifestyle, gives back by volunteering, & has lost more than 65 pounds! "I am so thankful for the Y. I’m able to live my life again, I have new goals, & I can share new experiences with my family,” Diamond said. “I would not be where I am today without the Y. Thank you!” Sammi’s Story:
The Y launched our Summer Camp & School Day Out Camp programs last year. Y camps help children learn, grow, & thrive in a positive, safe environment. We incorporate a daily reading program into our summer camp curriculum to help kids overcome the “summer slide.” Financial assistance is available to make camps accessible to everyone. Sammi was one of our campers last summer. Y camp helped him overcome his fear of new situations & places, & develop skills to prepare him for success in kindergarten. Thanks for supporting kids like Sammi!
