SHE LOVES ME Book by Joe Masteroff Music by Jerry Bock Lyrics by Sheldon Harnick Based on a play by Miklós László A Sheffield Theatres Production Amalia and Georg work together in a parfumerie in a picturesque Hungarian town. Constantly clashing, the two colleagues are at odds on the shop floor. But they do have one thing in common. They’ve both answered a lonely hearts advert and now live for the letters they exchange, unaware of the identity of their true loves. As they count down the shopping days to Christmas, love and snowflakes are in the air. From the songwriters of Fiddler on the Roof, and the writer of Cabaret, and based on the story that inspired You’ve Got Mail. A glorious romantic comedy musical, She Loves Me will warm even the chilliest of winter evenings. Originally directed on Broadway by Harold Prince. Swan Lake The Nutcracker THE PIXIE AND THE PUDDING By Barb Jungr and Samantha Lane Music and lyrics Barb Jungr A Little Angel Theatre Production It’s Christmas Eve on the farm, and the chickens, pigs and cows are fast asleep. Inside the farmhouse, the fire is roaring and a delicious, steaming pudding is left out on the windowsill…

Sat 11 December – Sun 2 January Studio Theatre 10.30am, 1.30pm, 4pm From £13 Director Samantha Lane

When Charlie and her dad move to the farm from the city, everything seems to go wrong. If only they’d paid attention to the mysterious note left on their windowsill about a curious pixie and the pudding she likes to eat on Christmas Eve.

SWAN LAKE The greatest romantic ballet of all time is brought to life by Tchaikovsky’s haunting and unforgettable score. From the impressive splendour of the Palace ballroom to the moon-lit lake where swans glide in perfect formation, this compelling tale of tragic romance has it all.

THE NUTCRACKER

This most famous of fantasy ballets for all the family begins as night falls on Christmas Eve. As snowflakes fall outside, the warm glow of the open fire sends flickering shadows across the boughs of the Christmas tree and all the presents beneath. When midnight strikes we are swept away to a fairy-tale world where nothing is quite as it seems…

A new musical brought to life with puppetry, original music and a sprinkling of pixie magic.

A Sheffield Theatres Production

Three theatres, three plays, ONE cast – all at the same time! In this theatrical first, the same cast perform in the Crucible, Lyceum and Studio simultaneously. Dashing between scenes, when a character exits one stage, they arrive on another. Individual, and interwoven, you can enjoy each on their own. But see them all and be part of the biggest theatre event of the year. When the owner of Sheffield’s oldest scissor manufacturers dies, three generations go to war over what happens to the factory site. Transform it into a fashionable music venue, redevelop into luxury office space, or continue as it is, hoping the old business might somehow become profitable again? It’s more than bricks and mortar, more than ownership, it’s about knowing where you fit in the world – knowing that there’s still a place for you. From Chris Bush, the writer of Standing at the Sky’s Edge, ROCK / PAPER / SCISSORS are three fresh, funny and heartfelt looks at family, heritage and legacy.
