This year we are celebrating 50 years of the Crucible and Studio theatres. From Shakespeare to Sheffield stories, urgent climate dramas to riotous comedy, join us for this special anniversary season. The autumn kicks off with Much Ado About Nothing before the show heads off on a UK tour. The Contingency Plan is next in the Crucible, a double bill of celebrated plays from the writer of The Last King of Scotland. In the Studio, Dario Fo’s brilliant Accidental Death of an Anarchist is adapted by Tom Basden (Afterlife). Standing at the Sky’s Edge makes its triumphant return before transferring to the National Theatre. Then 2023 begins with the return of Theatre Centre with Birds and Bees and Brecht’s The Good Person of Szechwan.
