ch-chA-changes at cord scrapbook studio... Mainstream store aisles are littered with school supplies as we find ourselves officially entangled in the “Back to School” rush! It’s the changing of seasons and it’s exciting, it’s new and it’s oh-so-much fun!
But thankfully department stores and supermarkets don’t get to keep the seasonal enthusiasm to themselves. We’ve got some exciting, new and oh-so-much fun “stuff” going on at Cord Camera as well!
What’s so exciting? We’re happy to announce that our Nora Super Store (in Indianapolis, IN) is officially OPEN at it’s new location! If you haven’t stopped by already, you’ll want to check out the new ‘digs’. Located within the same shopping complex, a stone’s throw from our old spot, the new store is clean, it’s cozy and we’re especially loving the private crop and class room! You’ll find the same great product and the same creative team you always have and we’re proud to offer you the same great service and dependability you count on in a photo specialty and scrapbooking store!
What’s new? Our extended Cord family has grown by leaps and bounds over the years, but last Fall a future scrapper was born to Buyer/Blogger Stephanne Smith, which eventually led her home to be with family and opened the door for new Category team members Vicki Harper and Alicia Jellison!

Vicki and Alicia make up the buying team and they’re diligently working behind the scenes to bring you the latest and greatest in tools and supplies for all your paper-crafting needs!
In the meantime, if you’ve missed our regular blog posts and Facebook content as a resource for store updates and info, we’re happy to report that Stephanne will be back to posting, tweeting, pinning and blogging again this Fall. As we continually strive to be a store that reflects YOUR creative style in memory keeping and crafting, we encourage you to stay in touch with team members--your feedback is always welcome! This past month we’ve kept busy placing orders for new collections from all your favorite companies including My Mind’s Eye, Teresa Collins, Little Yellow Bicycle and all of the brands pictured below!! Starting this month you can expect new product arriving weekly for Halloween, Autumn, Christmas, birthdays, sports, magical moments--you name it! It’s going to be fantastic and we can’t wait! See? The kiddos might be stocking up on school supplies, but we’re celebrating the changing of seasons with big changes, exciting news and TONS of new goodies to freshen up the shelves. See you in stores!
What’s “oh-so-much” fun? Well, the “fun” in our business comes into play with the release of new paper lines and products with CHA.

Copic Inks (Diana) Tuesday, August 13th, 5:30-7:30pm Cost of Class: $15 If you love Copic Markers, then you will want to check out this class! We will be focusing on using refill inks in fun and creative ways to create unique cards featuring our Copic “art”! Come prepared to get a little messy (a craft apron is recommended) and please bring your paper trimmer and adhesive--including vellum and dimensional adhesive. See you in class! Basic Grey Page of the Month, featuring “Carte Postale” (Diana) Friday, August 30th, 5:30-7:30pm Cost of Class: $18/ $15 (w/ 3-month “POTM CLUB” commitment) This month we’ll be assembling TWO 12x12 layouts featuring a variety of patterned papers, acetate alphas, metal tabs and snippets from the “Carte Postale” collection by Basic Grey! Please bring adhesive, a paper trimmer, scissors, a 1-1/2” circle punch, a 2” scalloped circle punch, a notebook border punch, a corner rounder, black journaling pen, distress ink (optional) and 24” orange twine (optional).

Class kits with some pre-cut pieces, instructions and a photo are available should you be unable to attend class! Playing w/ Patterned Papers (Vicki) Saturday, August 10th, 1:00-2:30pm Cost of Class: $18 Come and join us in making a 2-page, 12x12 layout using Echo Park’s “A Perfect Summer” collection! You will learn how to use the patterned papers, layering, and few other techniques! If you can’t make the class - order a kit! The kit will include photo with instructions, all the papers, and most other supplies! Sketchy Recipe (Vicki) Saturday, August 10th, 3:00-5:00pm Cost of Class: $15 In this class you will learn how to personalize a sketch using your Silhouette or Cricut machine!
