idgeview Foundation has launched a fundraising campaign that will help Ridgeview Medical Center sustain its reputation as one of the finest medical centers in the state. The Every Moment Counts campaign will focus on raising endowment funds and capital gifts to help secure our future.
Why Is the Endowment Campaign Important? Much as a family would build up savings to buffer against financial hardship, the endowment is Ridgeview’s security for the future. An endowment fund is like a permanent savings account. The principal of the original contribution is never spent—only a portion of its earnings is annually allocated for the purpose of the endowment. The remaining amount of the fund’s earned income is reinvested to ensure future financial growth. A gift of any size can be earmarked for the endowment campaign. However, naming opportunities and named endowed funds will play a large role as well. At this critical time in the life of our organization, almost 100 percent of Ridgeview’s net revenue is required to maintain operations, leaving a very small percentage to invest in technology, facilities and new services.
