Micro Mosaic Jewelry Ages 18-Adult. Nano, Micro and Mini (2-8mm) describe the size of the pieces used for these beautifully intricate, inlaid mosaic pendants. Although delicate, they can be easy to assemble with random colored glass pieces or tiny handmade Moroccan tiles to compose an elaborate and complex design. Needle Felting Frenzy Ages 18-Adult. The stress-relieving benefits of needle felting are amazing! Explore vast possibilities by using materials such as wool roving and fleece, yarn, felted wool sweaters and recycled wool clothing. Hand-held single and multi-needle holders will be used as well the Instructor’s needle felting machines to make a variety of decorative or wearable items. No experience is necessary. Thrummed Mittens Thrums are short pieces of un-spun wool roving that are worked into a pair of wool mittens as they are knitted or crocheted. The ends are left loose inside the mitten to form a warm, soft, dense interior that “felts” from the friction caused by wear. Patterns will be provided as will the yarn and roving. Experience with the basic knit stitch or single crochet is required. Make a pair for yourself or a loved one in sizes from child through adult. Scholarship recipients pay $20.
