Welcome Note from the Race Director I am pleased to welcome you all to Round 2 of the Brisbane Camperland Queensland Road Team Series hosted in in the wonderful Southern Downs community of Warwick. After Round 1 in Cleveland and Gatton, we hope to once again bring an exciting brand of teams racing to Warwick and the surrounding Southern Downs communities. The weather for this weekend is predicted to be clear and crisp with chilly mornings down to negative 4 degrees. We urge all riders to come prepared for the cold, with thermals being a must especially on Sunday at 8.00am. *We cannot start riding earlier as there is a slim chance of black ice on the roads we are being told.* The Men’s Stage 3 Criterium remains scheduled as one race; though we are continuing to review the possibility of revising this to two heats. This decision will follow on site risk assessments and discussion with the Chief Commissaire on Friday but all managers and Men’s riders need to plan to extend their stay in Warwick until 3.45pm on Sunday. I would also like to remind everyone that Saturday is voting day, so please make any arrangements. I would like to thank the Southern Downs Regional Council for their enthusiasm to bring the Queensland Road Team Series back to Warwick. Thank you to David Keenan and your team of staff for all your support to the event and cycling throughout the region. Open road cycling is only possible with the assistance and support of the Queensland Police Service. My thanks goes to the Warwick Queensland Police Service and the TMR Department for their input in the planning process and their role in keeping everyone safe throughout the weekend. Finally, I would like to welcome everyone to join us at the Horse and Jockey Pub at 5.30pm on Saturday night for a post race soiree with your fellow teams and officials. Ride hard and keep safe,

Michael Crawley Race Director

Volunteers A very special thank you to all our volunteers who have given up their time to make this event possible. Volunteers are not paid; not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless! There wouldn’t be competitive cycling events without the dedicated service provided by officials and marshals. The organizers of Brisbane Camperland Queensland Road Team Series want to extend a sincere thanks to all volunteers for their contribution to the sport of cycling throughout Queensland.

Competitor’s Briefing It is the responsibility of competitors to attend briefing in the marshalling area 20 minutes prior to their race. The race is being run under the rules of Cycling Queensland and Cycling Australia, and as per the Police Permit issued to conduct the race. We remind you of your Duty of Care towards the safety of other competitors and the public.

Police Police presence will be evident at the Queensland Road Team Series; they will be working to ensure maximum safety to residents, competitors and spectators. 5 5

Race Numbers / Frame Numbers Teams have been previously provided with their full allocation of race numbers and frame numbers for the series. Teams hold onto their race numbers and frame numbers until the end of the series on the Sunshine Coast. All equipment including race numbers and frame numbers will then be required to be returned following the last round on the Sunshine Coast. All lost equipment will incur a replacement fee. Race numbers are to be worn on the right hand hip in Round 2.

Transponders Cycling Queensland will require all transponders to be returned at the completion of each round, for example after racing this Sunday as these will be utilised at other events in the coming weeks.

Results Results will be available shortly after the race at http://qld.cycling.org.au/QRTS/Results/2016 All results are provisional until posted on the Results Board and have been signed by the Chief Commissaire.

Issues/Complaints/Suggestions If your question/problem is technical regarding the competition on race day you will be directed to the Chief Commissaire. The Chief Commissaire will have the final call on any penalties and final results. Event questions can be directed to the Race Director at the registration desk.
