Dear Parents and Guardians, With Christmas right around the corner, the school has just launched its annual charity drive for 2018. Every year the Pittwater House community puts together a collection of gifts and food items for those less fortunate beneath our Christmas Tree, located in the foyer of the Great Hall. We are conscious of the fact that not everyone is lucky enough to enjoy a Christmas, surrounded by gifts and food or even loved ones. We believe that no one should spend their Christmas alone and without the reassurance of knowing that someone truly cares about their wellbeing this holiday season. The Christmas charity drive relies entirely on families bringing in presents or non-perishable food items during the holiday season, for without their continued support, such an event would not be possible. We encourage every student from both the Senior and Junior Schools to contribute to the pool by picking up a small gift or a tin of canned food during their weekly shopping this term. It doesn’t matter how large or expensive your present, every little addition is very much appreciated. We would love to see the foyer bursting with even more gifts and food items this Christmas than last year. The Prefects will be organising a box for each of the form classes, where the students can place their gifts. As an incentive we will be offering a prize to the class that manages to collect the most items for the charity drive. So please, think about placing a gift under the tree this year, because it only takes a small act of generosity to makes someone’s Christmas a whole lot better. Best wishes, Naveen and Lara
