Outdoor activities If you are not interested in sight seeing maybe you would like to try an outdoor activity. Jabłonna has two bicycle trails that are very challenging . They will show you the village from a different point of view The blue trail The blue trail goes through the village of Choszczówka. Then it takes you through many streets of Jabłonna: Szkolna, Modlińska and Wałowa. Next it passes by the Palace in Jabłonna and later it runs through the beautiful acacia and oak woods. The woods are situated in the Jabłonna’s Reserve, where you can find many historical trees. It is also a perfect place to admire rare birds and plants. Therefore, this trail offers a more soothing experience and suits better those who consider themselves nature lovers.

The first look Jabłonna is an attractive village where many tourists come every year. It is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend escape and it is also a wonderful place to live. Jabłonna is renowned for its historic, patriotic past, as well as its contemporary assets. Visiting this village should include touring the Palace. One should also visit the church in Jabłonna, and the church in Chotomów. You should also take a look at the beautiful historical post office and the old fortification in Suchocin. Here you will find many wonders worth visiting.

The golf course If you are keen on golf, Jabłonna has plenty to offer. In Rajszew you can find a golf course, which takes advantage of the natural assets of the area .This is the place where one may meet many Polish celebrities, who are seeking for peace and quiet, as well as the residents of Jabłonna. Zalew Zegrzyński Those who enjoy fishing may spend a relaxing afternoon on the banks of the Vistula river or the reservoir called Zalew Zegrzyński. Many species of fish, for example the catfish and pikeperch, are found there. However, if you seek for a little bit of excitement you can take part in fishing competitions organized in almost every summer weekend . This year’s winner caught a carp fish weighing 15 kilos! Maybe you will break that record and catch the biggest fish in your life!

Come to visit Jabłonna! It is a wonderful place to spend a day, have a holiday or even make it your home!

Places to see. Starting with one of the most interesting sights, the Palace and its estate, discover the beauty and history of Jabłonna. The Palace was built by the Bishop of Plock, Michal Poniatowski The Palace includes annexes, pavilions, and an Orangery. In the gardens, you will find the Triumphal Arch, the Chinese Arbor, historical caves, an astonishing gateway entrance, and of course a Gateman's house all of which overlook the spectacular view of the Vistula River. The peace and quiet of the place offers tired visitors a refreshing break from their busy lives. Another interesting site in Jabłonna is the Old Inn. Built before 1834, it was originally an inn with a forge. Today, it is the place where the local government, the cooperative bank, and the community social welfare center are located. In 1834 the Potoccy family rented part of the ground so it could be used as a horse-post. Soon after, a post office was built and believe it or not, it still serves the residents today. One of the most treasured sites of the area is the church commemorating the Assumption Day in Chotomów, erected before 1387. A beautiful gate – belfry, as old as the church, leads up to the church yard. In front of the gate visitors may admire the 19th century figure of Virgin Mary holding Jesus. Jabłonna has a rich history , hence, there are numerous national memorials. The Casualty Monument is located near the post office in Jabłonna in “Alfa and Skiba Square”. It commemorates the soldiers who were killed 17.06.1943 during the transport of weapons. The AK Soldiers Monument , located in front of the commune office, honors The Polish Home Army (Armia Krajowa) soldiers who fought and died in the area The nameless monument in the Chotomów forest, honors an AK soldier . The monument stands in the place where an AK soldier, Stefan Krasiński was killed while waging an attack on German troops.

Things to do One of the most interesting sights of Jabłonna is the palace. It houses the Conference Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The palace plays an important role in local community life. It offers a wide variety of leisure time activities. Art lovers should visit its gallery , where they may admire the exhibitions of world famous and local artists. Once a month, usually on Sundays, the residents of our village are invited to concerts of classical music (free of charge). The dance hall echoes then with Vivaldi and Bach concertos.However, the event that attracts hundreds of visitors is the annual Festival of Science. It is held in September. It is a family event. Both parents and children are invited to see many interesting presentations. While visiting the festival one can take the opportunity to touch the bones of prehistoric animals found by the Polish scientists researching the Spitsbergen. You also have a chance to get familiar with the latest achievements of science, such as precision engineering. During the last festival children enjoyed giving orders to robots designed for the police forces. Ladies could learn how to make fine jewelry and admired the rare types of roses - Jabłonna has always been famous for growing the most beautiful flowers in Poland. This is a spectacular event and has been a huge success for many years!
