Il Pellicano was a result of a love story between Michael Graham, a British Royal Air Force (RAF) aviator, the only survivor of a plane crash in Africa in the mid-1950s and Patsy Daszel, socialite of the American jet set, who cut out the article regarding the plane crash and pasted it in her diary hoping that someday she would meet the charming British soldier. Like a fairy tale, her wish came true. Patsy and Michael met during a party in Pelican Point in California, and it was love at first sight. After Travelling extensively around the world, the couple arrived in Tuscany, on the Monte Argentario peninsula, where they discovered this corner of heaven. In this stretch of cliffs overlooking the sea, in the midst of the magnificent nature of Monte Argentario, Michael and Patsy decided to build Hotel Il Pellicano, to honor their love affair. Inagurated in 1965 the bay was reminiscent of the location of their first encounter and the perfect place in which to establish a private club. Having kept that home feeling thoughout time, Il Pellicano has maintained that allure of italian “dolce vita” feeling of the 1960s. The perfect balance between past, present and future makes the “Pellicano experience” unique and the perfect location for a memorable event.

EXCLUSIVE USE The exclusive use of Hotel Il Pellicano enables you to privately use all the property, bedrooms, indoor and outdoor areas, 2 restaurants, 2 bars, pool and Beach Club for the entire duration of your event including all of the staff and the personel. All food and beverage costs and spa treatments are excluded from the agreed daily rate. A Maximum of 120 people can sleep at Hotel Il Pellicano divided in our 50 bedrooms located between the main building and our 7 cottages on the property. We can accomodate a maximum of 190 people for lunch and dinner seating in either our restaurants or our private beach according to the weather the numbers are variable (rental of pagodas or gazebo’s available upon request) We can accomodate up to 250 people for a party or cocktail around the pool or at our private beach.

COTTAGE BECCACINO master deluxe suite & junior suite
This is the historic cottage on the inside of the Hotel property. Celebrities have stayed there, admiring the wonderful panorama that you can have from the height of the terraces, surrounded by a magnificent garden. It is composed by a Deluxe Suite and a Master Deluxe Suite, both with sea view and an external patio where Guests can enjoy a pleasant sunset aperitif. The style of the furniture is that of a typical “Tuscan villa�, rich in marble, Florentine terracotta and handcrafted tile floor.

EXCLUSIVE USE The resort is available for rental on an exclusive basis and this includes the full property, all of the 50 rooms, the 2 restaurants, the 2 bars, the Pelliclub Health & Beauty, the heated swimming pool and the Beach Club. The 34 rooms and 16 suites are located in a central body and a number of adjacent cottages within the property. The cottages are made up of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 rooms, have their own private external space and can also be rented individually on an exclusive basis.
