La Posta Vecchia was built over the remains of a Roman Villa 1 , which itself was part of the ancient Roman port town of Alsium, a favourite retreat for many of Rome’s leaders. When J. Paul Getty restored La Posta Vecchia in the Sixties, he unearthed mosaics and artefacts on site 2 3 which he housed in his own private museum. This museum is now open to our guests and our staff will be glad to guide you in an archaeological itinerary.

No charge for tours cancelled prior to 72 hours. Between 72 and 48 hours, the penalty is 50% of the fare, after 48 hours it’s 100%. 11. Changes in tour scheduling equal to cancellations. 12. Earlier end of a tour equals to a cancellation of the duration deleted. 13. No refund for services and tickets booked or purchased after the tour confirmation even if the tour is rescheduled or cancelled.
