Lenten Preaching Series Wednesday, March 22, at Noon The Rev. Katherine Doyle is Priest-in-Charge, St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Louisville, KY. Katherine heard a call to ordained ministry in July 1997 just after the birth of her second child. Two more children, four states, and two countries later, she became a priest in December 2012. Katherine finds amazing ways to blend the holy and the ordinary into her life as a corporate wife, the mother of four young adults, as PA president for the school, volunteering on several boards, reading books, running, needlepointing and serving as a high heeled wearing priest in the Diocese of Kentucky.

Compassionate Listening Ministry at RCS The number of God's children who need a smile and someone to listen and/or pray with them has increased over time. This is a powerful ministry the Holy Spirit directed our postulant, Linda Murdock, to begin. Now we need more volunteers to experience the joy one receives by giving at least one hour a month or more from10:3011:30, their lunch hour, listening, praying, smiling, being a welcoming presence in their lives. If you have this time available and an interest in this ministry, please contact Sheridan Holstein: 252-636-5660 or schtee47@gmail.com

Farmworkers Arriving

Items Needed for March: Food: Rice (Bags under One Pound) Stuff: Plastic Grocery Bags

On the Sundays of March 19 and 26 we will offer two ways you can help the incoming farmworkers. First, by buying listed hygiene items for a cloth shower bag we will be passing out on these Sundays. Second, by buying listed food items for a food pack. When the farm workers first arrive, it may be a few weeks before they can earn the money to buy these needed items. Think about what you would like to do to help these people and be looking us as you come into church on these dates. Thank you. Anne and Jerry Ocorr.
