Volunteer Opportunity - RCS

Join us on Tuesday, February 28, from 5:00pm - 6:30pm in the Harrison Center at Christ Church Hosted by our EYC

We currently have an active RCS Sunday breakfast team for the 4th Sunday of the month. There is a need on the 2nd Sunday of the month for another team to serve breakfast at RCS. Donations made by many others pay for the meal or you can purchase food items like grits or juice and help defray what the church is billed. What you want to serve is your choice. So are you available from 7:00 to 9:30am every 2nd Sunday? We need team members that can serve and feed God’s children with a joyous heart. You receive a lot more than you give in this ministry! Please contact Kathleen Rice, 252-671-7570, or David Cook, 252-702-7811, if you have questions or are interested in serving.

Attention Christ Church Artists The Art Guild would like to show two dimensional art works in the Parish Hall April through June. All media is welcome. Artists must be at least 18 years old and provide information about themselves and their pieces when they are brought in. Two works may be submitted with at least one being hung, more if space allows. Works must not exceed 20 x 24 in the frame and be “hanging ready” with wire (no saw-tooth). Drop off works on Saturday, March 25, from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Parish Hall. The show will go up that afternoon. Pick up works Saturday, June 24, from 11:00am to 1:00pm. For more information or questions contact Donna Rhein: 252-670-1993 or derhein25@gmail.com.

New Tree Mural During the past few weeks the Art Guild has been painting something new in the window of our Music & Youth Building. A tree has grown on the wall next to the elevator. This new arrival has been created by four Christ Church artists: Joanne Bradley, Nell Maha, Dee Mayer and Vicki Vitale. The Art Guild of Christ Church, chaired by Donna Rhein, was directed to paint the “Tree” as an on-going project. This tree will enable our Youth Ministry to record the progress made by our young people over the course of their years at Christ Church. Please continue to watch and see our Tree bloom over the years to come.
