Growing in Grace Thank you so much to everyone that has filled out the online Volunteer Application! If you have not done so and plan to help out - PLEASE fill it out as soon as possible! I've attached the link again to this email. Our Volunteer Training session for everyone interested in helping in anyway with our wonderful GIG program is on September 6, 2017 at 5:30 in the Youth Room on Pollock Street. I promise it will not take long and I need everyone Including returning volunteers to attend. Please spread the word to others who may not have signed up yet that we still need more volunteers. Remember volunteers do not have to be a member of Christ Church. You may share the Volunteer application with anyone you think is interested. If you need help doing that please let me know and I will be happy to take care of it. I am looking forward to seeing you on September 6 at 5:30! If you are not sure where the YOUTH ROOM is please email me and I will be sure you know how to get there.

WOMEN’S BOOK STUDY

The Women’s Book Study will start meeting again on Tuesday September 5th at 10:00am in the 2nd Floor Living Room. This book study is lead by the Rev. Cortney Dale and the book chosen is Love Heals by Becca Stevens.

Mumfest Book Sale

ST. ELIZABETH ECW TO MEET St. Elizabeth ECW will hold their first meeting on Monday September 11th at 10am in the Parish House. Guest speaker will be from Craven County Board of Elections. All attending are welcome to join us for lunch at a local restaurant after the meeting.

STEPPING OUT SINGLES Stepping Out Singles will be meeting at the Riverbend Country Club Café on Saturday, Sept. 9th at 9:30 AM. Stepping Out Singles meet every second Saturday each month for breakfast at various locations. If you are single and would like to share breakfast and make new fiends contact Harriet Milde at (252) 638-4895 for more information.

Children & Youth Ministry News Sunday School Registration is now live!

If you would like to sign up your children for Sunday School, please visit our website for more information. We are excited to have Godly Play for our preschoolers, Kindergarten & 1st Grade, 2nd & 3rd Grade, and 4th & 5th Grade Classes available. Our Middle and High School Students will continue to meet across the street in the Youth Building for Sunday School. We hope that you will join us!

EYC Kick-Off

On September 10th, our Middle and High School Students will be going to AirU Trampoline Park in Greenville, NC to kick-off this year's EYC Activities. If your Middle or High School Student would like to attend, please let Ashley Simpson know by September 3rd, so she can book tickets. More information will be on the way as the event approaches.

yOUThREACH

The Diocesan Event yOUThREACH is being hosted here at Christ Church on September 16th. It is a one day event open to Middle and High School Students. Last year, we worked with Interfaith Refugee Ministries and this year we will be working with Sound Rivers to do local outreach in Craven County. Registration forms are available and need to be back to Ashley Simpson by September 10th.

T-Shirts Available

There are children's and adult t-shirts available from past events like VBS and Camp Trinity, as well as Glory Ridge. The sizes available range from Children's Small to Adult XL. I love all of my Camp and Church T-Shirts! If you would like a shirt, we just ask for a donation of your choosing.
