I went to my branch and verified, then I called him back to apologize for being so short with him on the phone.” As part of the $4 million special dividend paid to members in October 2019, your ORNL FCU Board of Directors announced that four randomly-selected members would also have their auto loan balances paid off in full! In addition to paying their auto loan balances, we hosted the winners at a presentation ceremony and reception where each of the winning members was given a check to cover the estimated taxes they would owe on the value of their loan payoff.

2020 CALENDAR PHOTO CONTEST Our photography contest for the 2020 monthly calendar concluded in early October, with 12 stunning images handpicked by members of the community! Over 200 people participated in the second annual photography contest, with more than 900 images submitted recognizing the Beauty of East Tennessee theme. After being narrowed down to the top 40 images, voting was open to the public so that the community could select their favorites to be featured. In addition to the top 12 winners, we had special prizes for the top three images that received the most votes: a gift card and framed print of their winning image!

2020-2021 ORNL FCU SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM TO UTK Applications are being accepted through the ORNL FCU Scholarship Program for the 2020-2021 school year. The Scholarship Program awards a minimum of two $1,000 scholarships each school year to a deserving student/member that excels in education and social merit.
Members can find the application on our website at ornlfcu.com or an application can be picked up at any of our branch locations.
The $1,000 scholarships can be used for tuition, books, or other school related expenses. Only members of ORNL FCU and members of their families who are enrolled or plan to enroll in the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and are pursuing a 4-year degree are eligible to compete for the scholarship. All applicants must complete a FAFSA Form for federal student aid coded for the University of Tennessee. The FAFSA must filed by February 1, 2020.

Applicants are selected by the UT General Scholarship Committee and will be notified directly by the University of Tennessee Financial Aid Office by early June.
