Konrad Kucza-Kuczyński, Professor, Doctor Habilitated, Engineer Architect, born on 2 January 1941, Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology, Co-founder and Director of the Sacral and Monumental Architecture Studio. Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology, M. Sc. degree in 1964 under the supervision of Professor B. Pniewski, Ph.D. in 1981, post-doctoral degree (doctoral habilitation) in 1989, awarded title of Professor in 1999. Dean of the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology in 1990-1994, guest lecturer at the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin and the Łódź University of Technology, member of the Union of Polish Architects since 1965, member of the Chamber of Polish Architects since 2000. Co-owner of „ATELIER 2 Kucza-Kuczyński, Miklaszewski” in 1991-2003, „ATELIER 2 architekci” in 2003 (with J. KuczaKuczyński). Founding Director (1994-1999) and member (2000- ) of the „Spiritual Places” UIA Working Programme. Member of the Committee of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Polish Academy of Sciences since 1993, Polish Council of Architects since 1997, Monument Protection Council at the Ministry of Culture since 2000, Arts and Architecture Committee of the Warsaw Curia since 2008. Jacek Fröhlich Polish born German designer, spent youth in Polish Silesia, educated at IInd Jan Matejko Lyceum in Siemianowice Śląskie (baccaulerat 1984), studied Architecture at Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Poland (Master 1989) and after moving to Germany - at Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences in Design, Technology and Business (1989-1993); at first based in Cologne, Fröhlich was the head of the BMW Exterior Design in Munich (January - October 2010) Jacek Fröhlich designed BMW F10 / F11 - the newest 5-series; Fröhlich said that designing the new BMW 5 series, he strived to make the car feel longer and sporty, like a sports coupe; well, he succeeded because the car looks classic and from its beginnings became immensely popular. Since 2010 Product Line Manager Exterior Design BMW Automobiles (BMW 7, 6, and 5 Series and BMW X models) Boris Kudlička born in 1972 in Ružomberok in Slovakia. Graduated from the Chair of Set and Costume Design at the Theatre Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. He continued his studies at the Minerva Academy of Fine Arts in Groningen, Holland. In 1995,he began collaborating with Teatr Wielki – Opera Narodowa in Warsaw. Boris Kudlička regularly works with such directors like: Mariusz Treliński, Keith Warner or Amon Miyamoto. Since 1999 he has been producing set designs at Opera Narodowa in Warsaw and other opera houses (including Berlin, Frankfurt, Strasbourg, Moscow, Sankt Petersburg, Los Angeles, Tel Aviv, Tokyo, Washington or Valencia). His professional interests go far beyond opera. He also designed sets for a number of movies, plays, exhibitions. Boris Kudlička is a recipient of many awards: the “Gloria Artis” Medal of the Minister of Culture for artistic achievements – for Services to Arts, the gold medal at the Prague Quadrennial in 2007 and the Tatra Banka Foundation Award. Marcin Mostafa born in 1979 in Warsaw, graduated from the Department of Architecture of The Warsaw University of Technology in 2007. In 2003, he took the first prize (together with Hermanowicz, Musiałowski, Rewski) in the “Plomba” student competition organised by Centrum Łowicka. In 2005, he won the first prize and realised a small pavilion in the “Places” contest organised by the SGPTM (at the Chemistry Pavilion in Warsaw). In 2007, he received a distinction in the competition for an office block in place of the demolished “Supersam” (with G. Stiasny and J. Wacławek – ARE studio). In 2007, he took the first prize in the competition for the Polish Pavilion at the Expo 2010 in Shanghai (with Wojtek Kakowski). He has designed stage sets in theatres in Warsaw, Łódź and Radom, theatre posters and fashion collections. He is a co-creator and chief designer of the MANTO brand. Tutor at the OSSA 2008 workshops, since 2008 working at the Department of Architecture of The Warsaw University of Technology. Natalia Paszkowska born in 1981 in Katowice, graduated from the Department of Architecture of The Warsaw University of Technology in 2008 (winner of awards in the national and Warsaw SARP competitions). Since 2004 she has been gaining experience at such studios like Jems Architekci, Grupa5 and APA Kuryłowicz. In 2005, she received the first prize and realised a small pavilion in the “Places” contest organised by the SGPTM (at the Chemistry Pavilion in Warsaw). In 2007, she took the first prize in the competition for the Polish Pavilion at the Expo 2010 in Shanghai (with Wojtek Kakowski). Tutor at the OSSA 2008 workshops, since 2010 working at the Department of Architecture of The Warsaw University of Technology.


Professor Jerzy Porębski was born in 1955. He graduated from the Department of Architecture of the Kraków University of Technology and the Department of Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where for over 20 years he has been running his design class. In the years 2005 – 2012 he served as the dean. In 1991, he set up The Design Society, which he runs together with Grzegorz Niwiński. He specialises in design, interior design, exhibitions, public spaces design, utility business graphics. The main projects of the Society include: the Municipal Information System in Warsaw, interiors of AGORA S.A., SLIM furniture, urban furniture for Trakt Królewski, bus stop and urban furniture for Warsaw, including “Chopin’s Bench”, interiors of the National Music Forum in Wrocław, information and urban furniture for Bielsko-Biała, modernisation of the Central Station in Warsaw. He is the artistic supervisor of the monthly “Architektura-murator”. Winner of numerous awards in Poland and abroad. Tomek Rygalik was born in Lodz, Poland in 1976. He grew up during the social and economic transformation. His outlook on design is a unique voice reflected from his background. The analysis of the material culture and resourcefulness are in the heart of his thinking. Through design he strives to achieve stimulating and long-lasting functional results through minimal means, often by challenging the material properties, structure and by experimenting with new processes. The focus is on furniture, spaces and products. He studied Architecture at the Technical University of Lodz, and then Industrial Design at the Pratt Institute in New York (1999 BA/Hons). After his studies he worked with several design companies in New York City and the area - consulting for clients including Kodak, Polarioid, MTV, PerkinElmer, Dentsply, Unilever, DuPont etc.In 2003 he came to the Royal College of Art for Post Graduate studies (2005 MA RCA). After graduating from the RCA, Tomek Rygalik established his own design practice in both London and Lodz and joined the RCA stuff as a Research Associate. Today, the Studio is based in Warsaw, while Tomek also teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts (PG13) and lectures internationally. He is the art director of Comforty – the leading polish furniture brand. His work includes projects for DuPont/Corian, Moroso, Artek, Iker, Noti, ABR, Heal’s, Ideal Standard, Pfleiderer, BOZAR and EU presidency. Tomek Rygalik was awarded with numerous prizes and awards including First Prize Award in the 2006 International Bombay Sapphire Martini Glass Design Competition, BSI Environmental Design Award 2005, and Rosenthal Design Award 2004. He was also a finalist of The British Council’s International Young Design Entrepreneur of the Year 2007 competition. Over the last few years his work was exhibited in Berlin, Frankfurt, Lodz, London, Milan, Munich, New York, Tokyo, Poznan, Warsaw and Valencia. It was also published internationally in hundreds of magazine articles and press features, including ICON, Interni, Wallpaper, Experimenta, Blueprint, New York Times and Financial Times.
