~ Activity: Creative Writing! ~ When writing a story, an author has to consider many things. Like a good detective, an author must consider who, what, when, where, and why – who the characters are, what the plot line is, when and where the story takes place, and why the characters behave the way they do (or, in other words, the setting, characters, conflict, and resolution). In this exercise, students will practice manipulating the setting and characters of the story.
