Every pair is made by us, start to finish, in our own factory that we’ve built from scratch. Very few ski companies can say that truthfully and we wear this badge with pride. We are first and foremost skiers and have a passion for the sport that shows in everything we design and build. ON3P will never sacrifice quality, durability, or our own craft as we move forward into the future. Ten minutes from downtown Portland, you’ll find the ON3P factory. It’s not operated by some OEM company, nor are we some megafactory building skis overseas. It’s where our small crew of ski builders comes to work and build each and every pair of ON3P skis. Since the beginning, we’ve believed we could build skis better, build them ourselves, and build them here in America. We’re skiers who founded a manufacturing company, not ones who entered the game as an overfunded marketing business focused on creating hype, then outsourcing production. There’s no pride in skis we didn’t press, nor a stake in skis being sent off to be built by someone else. Above all else, we cherish the knowledge that we’ve created every aspect of the skis we take to the mountains and ski on our days off. There’s pride in what we do, and without our craft, we’re just like the rest. But with it, we’re ON3P.

TRI-AXIAL FIBERGLASS
The heart of every pair of ON3P skis is a FSC-certified, vertically laminated, 100% bamboo core. Bamboo provides a responsive, yet damp characteristic to our skis that we have grown to love.
19oz or 22oz Tri-axial Fiberglass provides torsional and longitudinal stiffness, ensuring proper edge hold and power transfer.
UNIDIRECTIONAL CARBON STRINGER
VDS (VIBR ATION DAMPENING STRIPS)
Each ski incorporates unidirectional carbon around the core, adding pop, stiffness, and dampness without any significant increase in weight.
VDS rubber is applied to the edges & sidewalls, acting as a shear layer that provides improved bonding strength and vibration dampening.
1.8MM 4001 DUR ASURF SINTERED BASE
UHMW SIDEWALLS AND TIP SPACERS
Our Durasurf 4001 base material provides our skis with better glide and protection from damage compared to any other sintered and extruded base material, and is 50% thicker than the industry standard.
UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) is an incredibly strong material, has a higher abrasion resistance than steel, and resists cracking (unlike ABS).
2.5MM X 2.5MM EXTR A THICK EDGES
EXTR A WIDE BINDING MAT
We use a 3/4 wrap for our 2.5mm x 2.5mm Rockwell 48 steel edges. The 3/4 wrap allows the tips and tails of the skis to flex, decreasing the risk of delamination.

An additional layer of fiberglass mat prevents pullouts. To ensure proper coverage for all types of hole patterns, we run our mat full width on every ski we make. Our binding mat is double-bias fiberglass, increasing torsional stiffness.

100% FSC Certified bamboo is an environmentally-friendly grass. Our core shape gives the ski strength where it needs it, better resisting bending and breaking. Damp, but responsive - a feel that no other core can provide.
An additional layer of fiberglass mat provides increased screw retention and prevents pullouts. To ensure proper coverage for all types of hole patterns, we run our binding full width on every ski we make. Our binding mat also features double-bias fiberglass, increasing torsional stiffness and power transfer.

Triaxial Fiberglass consists of 3 strands woven at a 0 degree, and 45/45 degrees. The 0 degree glass provides longitudinal stiffness (ski flex), while 45/45 provides torsional stiffness (ski twist).
Full length and full height sidewalls are more abrasion resistant than steel. Absorbs and resists impact damage bettter than other sidewall materials.

DESIGN AND TECH ELLIPTICAL ROCKER PROFILE
AT T - ASYMMETRICAL TIP TAPER
The rocker profile and tip shape are combined into one progressively changing elliptical arc, which allows the tips to plane faster in powder, deflect less in variable snow, and helps the effective edge running within the rocker length to engage in a natural, effortless way.
A longer, extended tip taper on the outer edge of each ski combined with a shorter tip taper on the inner edge of the ski. ATT enhances the ski’s ability to smear in soft snow by removing surface area from the outside edge of the uphill ski during a turn in soft snow. The inside edge remains supportive and allows for the downhill ski to complete a full turn as originally designed.
ELLIPTICAL SIDECUT An elliptical arc that begins at boot center and gets progressively smaller as it extends toward the tip and tail of the ski, resulting in a ski that carves harder the more it is put on edge, yet remains stable when it is skied flat.
TOUR LAYUP A redesigned, thinner core profile supported with two layers of full-width carbon fiber results in lightweight, tour-oriented ski.
BI-R ADIUS SIDECUT The sidecut consists of a smaller turn radius in the tip that works in conjunction with a larger turn radius in the tail, creating a directional ski that is stable going straight, but will easily carve once the turn is initiated and the ski is on edge.
SKIN CLIP TAIL Specially shaped tails ensure that your skins aren't going to fall off on the ascent, and allows for easy application of skins in deep snow: just place the tail on your boot, put the tip clip on, and pull down. A short section of edge in the tail keeps your skis from getting chewed up by the tail clips.
REVERSE ELLIPTICAL SIDECUT “RES” Explained in detail on page 10.
TIP TAPER Tip taper allows for a smoother release on turns, decreased swing weight, and a less catchy ride feel in variable conditions. Used throughout our line and matched with our rocker profiles to maximize effective edge while maintaining maneuverability.
3/4 WR AP EDGES The edges don't wrap all the way around the tips and tails the way other brands build skis. The percieved durability is a marketing gimmick - 3/4 wrap edges allow the tips and tails to flex naturally, which prevents delamination.
OTS - OFFSET TIP SHAPE OTS shifts the center of the tip & tail toward the inner edge of each ski. Shifting the center line on the ski allows us to maintain surface area and optimal float while increasing the effect of the Asymmetrical Tip Taper on the outer edge of the ski. This helps with smearability and makes it easier to roll over and maneuver in deep snow.

Reverse Elliptical Sidecut (RES) is a large, convex elliptical arc that runs from boot center to tip taper, combined with a long, traditional sidecut radius in the tail. The goal is simple: create the best soft snow sidecut and shape available. Think of RES in two parts. In the front half of the ski, the sidecut moves outward and tightens as it approaches the tip. This exaggerated, reverse sidecut ensures the skis remain catch free in powder and provides optimal soft-snow performance. Conversely, traditional sidecut in the tail gets you easily to and from the lift. When an RES ski is laid on edge, the RES tip and traditional sidecut tail work together to form a turn radius that provides the skier with surprisingly strong edge hold.

New for 2018, we’ve updated RES with one modification. To further increase edge hold on hard snow, we’ve replaced the straight section underfoot with a longer, gradual blending radius to improve the transition between the RES in the tips & the traditional sidecut in the tail. Our 2018 skis feature three variations of our RES design. The Steeple 108 maintains a symmetrical RES design for a more consistent skiing experience in variable snow. For improved soft snow performance, the Billy Goat & Steeple 116 feature both RES & Asymmetrical Tip Taper (ATT). For the ultimate powder ski, the Cease & Desist features RES, ATT, and Offset Tip Shape (OTS).

The Kartel 108 is the best everyday ride for left coast skiers looking for a playful quiver of one. Park, pow, crud, hardpack - this ski will do it all. Incorporating years of design, this is the ski you will find on the feet of almost every ON3P employee, and with good reason. The Kartel 116 brings years of freestyle powder ski design into a balanced package outfitted for the deepest of days. The most aggressive tip and tail tapering of all Kartels improves tracking through variable snow and decreases swing weight, while enhancing float by pushing more width into the forebody of the ski.

Since our beginning, the Billy Goat has been the goto choice for stability, power, and maneuverability in soft snow. Now in its 7th iteration, we’ve modified our RES (Reverse Elliptical Sidecut) design to incorporate a blending radius between the Tip & Tail sidecut, substantially improving hardpack performance. We’ve also incorporated ATT (Asymmetrical Tip Taper) to allow the tips & tails of the Billy Goat to smear in and out of turns with greater ease. The characteristics that define the Billy Goat remain - the ability to drive the ski when you want, smear the ski when you want, without tip dive and without dumping speed. If finding the fastest way down the mountain on a powder day is up your alley, then the Billy Goat is the ski for you.

Since our beginning, the Cease & Desist has been a constant reminder that sometimes you just need to run with it. This ski was designed to be the ultimate powder ski, and soon earned a name that reminds us every day of why we do what we do. For 2018, we’ve pushed this beast even farther and morphed our Asymmetrical Tip Taper (ATT) design into an all-new Offset Tip Shape (OTS). ATT shortens the effective edge on the outside of the ski in the tip and tail and decreases the surface area that grabs the outer edge of the ski as it’s rolled over in soft snow. By offsetting the ski center toward the inner edge, we are able to further enhance the ski’s asymmetry while nailing the proper surface area and shape to maximize float. Combined with RES, Powder Rocker, Tour Layup, and 100% bamboo core, the Cease & Desist continues to anchor our line for those hunting snow ghosts on the deepest of days. There is no better powder ski in existence, period.

Each year, the touring ski market serves up options that sacrifice performance and durability in favor of weight savings. For skiers who demand a quality ride on both the up and the down, but still need skis that will take all the abuse the backcountry can dish out, we present the updated Steeple Series. The Steeple 108 maintains the surfy, catch-free ride it has become known for while offering greater versatility on the ride down. Thanks to an updated Reverse Elliptical Sidecut, it maintains better edge hold on hard snow traverses or when you must ski terrain that isn’t as soft as you’d like. The Steeple 116 is our newest offering - based upon the chassis of our Billy Goat. For those wanting to access your own powder stash, the Steeple 116 features our Tour Layup and skin clip tail, while the RES design ensures its soft snow performance is 7.5 second to none. The Jessie line returns fully dialed & unchanged for the 17/18 season: fun, no pink-and-shrink skis that hold our standards for durability and construction in every regard, sans flower and gumdrop graphics. The Jessie 88 takes its cues from our best-selling Kartel 98 and offers both park performance and all-mountain agility. The tapered tips keep the weight down in the air and smooth transitions when rolling from edge to edge. The Jessie 98 is a versatile, poppy option that does right by any do-it-all skier. Elliptical rocker and elliptical sidecut offer smooth planing and a balanced turn initiation that engages harder the more you lean on it, while the smooth taper profile decreases hookiness and improves soft snow performance. Deep days are the domain of the Jessie 108. Everything we’ve learned about building powder skis has gone into this design, and it romps through the fluff with the best of them. The increased taper profile and bi-radius sidecut combine together for a ski that is effortless in soft snow, but still can hold its own on the front side of the hill and outrun the boys when needed.
