OUR SKIS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES

ON3P didn’t start as a dream, a vision, or a calling. ON3P started because a college student wanted a pair of skis he couldn’t find anywhere else. Over the next two years, founder Scott Andrus slowly saved enough to buy all the tools, equipment (including handbuilding his own ski press), and materials needed to design and manufacture over fifty pairs of skis for his friends and himself in his single car garage in Tacoma, WA - all while finishing his college biology degree. Over those two years, what had originally been planned to be a seven-pair build for a small number of friends turned into something much, much more. ON3P, the ski company, started to become a reality. One year later, ON3P relocated to Portland, OR and started in-house production of ON3P’s first commercially available skis. Today, ON3P is entering its third season of production and is known for building high quality, durable freeride skis with the best materials available. Every ON3P features rocker, 100% bamboo core, extra thick edges, 1.8mm Durasurf 4001 race base, UHMW sidewalls, and carbon fiber. Each pair is painstakingly build by a handful of skiers devoted to producing the best skis available, because for us, these are more than just skis: these are a matter of pride.

CAYLOR

JEFFREY

Our premier powder jib ski, the Caylor has been improved with a new elliptical rocker profile, increasing its ability to plane in powder and cut through choppy snow. This year we’ve introduced a new “Lite” model, in a 181cm & 191cm, that is softer than the stock medium-stiff flex. Go for the stock flex if you want a solid platform for big landings and high speed stability. Go for the Lite if you’re more interested in playfulness, float, and maneuverability.

Rising from the ashes of a ski we prototyped in 2008, the Jeffrey is a playful all-mountain jib ski. The Jeffrey features traditional sidecut, symmetrical elliptical rocker in the tips and tails, and camber underfoot. They are wide enough to provide float and stability in soft snow, but are skinny enough to carve effortlessly on hardpack and are light enough to throw around with ease in the air. Get after the fresh lines in the morning, float big tricks off booters midday, and then cut into the park for a few laps to refresh your rail game - all without stopping for lunch or having to go back to the car to switch skis.

JERONIMO

FILTHY RICH

Let’s face it, you like skiing everywhere, you hate lapping just one run, and even though that windlip isn’t a perfectly manicured tabletop, there’s no reason not to spin a switch cork 540 off it. The Jeronimo is right there with you. With symmetrical rocker, a 96mm waist, and a new 186cm size for 2011/12, the Jeronimo is as happy buttering onto rails in the park as it is landing switch off cornices in a few inches of fresh.

An innovative ski built for the new blood revitalizing and revolutionizing the park scene. The Filthy Rich features an elliptical sidecut – slightly straighter underfoot and getting progressively smaller towards the tips and tails – combined with our elliptical rocker to create a ski stable enough to bomb in and out of jumps, while remaining playful and able to carve off jumps with ease. Add a symmetrical flex, full length carbon stringers, and extra thick edges, and you get the ultimate park ski.

*Due to the Filthy Rich’s elliptical turn radius, it has no set, singular radius. But to give you an idea, it starts out at ~19.2m underfoot and progressively gets tighter to ~17m towards the tips and tails.

BILLY GOAT

CEASE & DESIST

The Billy Goat returns this year with an additional 191cm length, which is stiffer, wider, and has a longer effective edge & turn radius than the 176cm & 186cm. The BG is our favorite ski for bouncing through pillow-filled sidestashes, picking your way down tight lines, or running amok through steep trees. The combination of slight camber underfoot, short turn radius, and tip & tail taper results in a ski that begs to find new frontiers in speed and maneuverability.

Back for a third season, the Cease & Desist has undergone an overhaul to improve both its powder and hardpack performance. While the pintail design remains, an increased effective edge makes them more manageable on hardpack while the redesigned rocker profile and extra width underfoot improve float and maneuverability in soft snow. Still one of the stiffest skis in our line, the Cease & Desist demands an aggressive skier ready to charge on powder days.

WRENEGADE

VICIK

This season, a few minor modifications created a whole new animal. The full twin tail was replaced with a half twin, and the extra length was added to a new, elongated tip shape. While the effective edge remains the same, the new longer tip length and elliptical rocker profile charges harder and makes the older Wrenegade feel like a park ski by comparison. The “Wrocketship” is back in full force.

The Vicik sports a consistent flex, elliptical rocker profile, and improved tip shape to improve its ability to cut through chopped up snow. Its half twin and 104mm waist allow it to be a dedicated touring ski or everyday in-bounds charger for skiers looking for a traditional mount and a touch of tip rocker. Though slightly softer than last year’s model, the Vicik is still stiff enough to charge in crud and variable snow and provide a stable platform in any type of conditions.

To make the 181cm Wrenegade more aggressive, it was redesigned with new dimensions to maintain the same radius as the 191cm Wrenegade.

PILLOWFIGHT

Designed by three moderately intoxicated morons, this ski is our answer to “What would you like to have on an absolutely bottomless deep snow day?” The rockered and tapered tail is only trumped by the massive rocker in the tip, with a straight section of sidecut – yes, straight skis are back. To help decrease the weight on this massive ski, we’ve significantly thinned the core profile and added full width carbon fiber. These skis are available in limited quantities – only 15 pairs per size. We have created 30 individual topsheets to ensure that no two are the same. Customers are allowed to choose their topsheets, determined by the order of purchase. If you don’t like the design or it is a little too…risqué… you are welcomed to swap it out for one of our other topsheets. However, we certainly believe that at least one of our 30 custom topsheets will be sure to please.

MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION

Bamboo Cores The heart of every pair of ON3P skis is the vertically laminated 100% bamboo core. Bamboo provides a responsive, yet damp characteristic to our skis that we have grown to love. Our core shape gives the ski strength where it needs it, better resisting bending and breaking. Bamboo is also a quick growing, environmentally-friendly grass.

Unidirectional Carbon Stringer A carbon stringer, laid on top of each core, adds pop, stiffness, and dampness without any significant increase in weight.

UHMW Sidewalls and Tip Spacers UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) is an incredibly strong material, has a higher abrasion resistance than steel, and resists cracking (unlike ABS).

Bases and Edges Our Durasurf 4001 base material provides our skis with better glide and protection from damage compared to other sintered and extruded base material, and is 38% thicker than the industry standard. We use a 3/4 wrap for our 2.5mm x 2.5mm, Rockwell 48 steel edges. The 3/4 wrap allows the tips/tails of the skis to flex, thereby decreasing the risk of delamination.
