Season eight. Getting interesting now. Since 2009, ON3P has pushed boundaries and set the standard by which durability and construction are compared. All made in-house, all on our own. It hasn’t gone unnoticed, and it is fascinating to see the industry that influenced us be influenced back. Suddenly there’s interest from bigger brands, and you become the bar that other skis are compared to. Imitation is flattering, but the style of ON3P isn’t something so easily duplicated. We remain committed as a designer and manufacturer of durable, powerful, and downright fun skis. We steadfastly believe that doing it ourselves, here in the United States, is the only way forward. We relish our position as a company where you can call the factory and talk to those who actually build the product you will own. For 2017, we’re proud to, once again, offer a ski line free of gimmicks and technology doublespeak, built by our own hands, tested on our own feet, and directed at skiers who understand, like we do: it matters who builds your skis.

Just ten minutes from downtown Portland, you’ll find the ON3P factory. It’s not operated by some OEM company, nor are we some megafactory building in Asia or Europe. It’s where our small crew of ski builders come to work and build each and every pair of ON3P skis. Since the beginning, we’ve believed we could build something better, build it ourselves, and built it here in America. We’re skiers who founded a manufacturing business, not those who entered the game as a marketing company, focused on creating an image, then outsourcing production. There’s no pride in skis we didn’t press, no stake in something that we’ve sent off to be created by someone else. Above all else, we cherish the joys of going skiing and knowing that we created every aspect of the skis we use for our time in the mountains. There’s attachment, obsession, and pride in what we do, and without our craft, we’re just like the rest. But with it, we are ON3P.

The heart of every pair of ON3P skis is a FSC-certified, vertically laminated, 100% bamboo core. Bamboo provides a responsive, yet damp characteristic to our skis that we have grown to love.
19oz or 22oz Tri-axial Fiberglass provides torsional and longitudinal stiffness, ensuring proper edge hold and power transfer.
UNIDIRECTIONAL CARBON STRINGER
VDS (VIBR ATION DAMPENING STRIPS)
Each ski incorporates unidirectional carbon around the core, adding pop, stiffness, and dampness without any significant increase in weight.
VDS rubber is applied to the edges & sidewalls, acting as a shear layer that provides improved bonding strength and vibration dampening.
1.8MM 4001 DUR ASURF SINTERED BASE
UHMW SIDEWALLS AND TIP SPACERS
Our Durasurf 4001 base material provides our skis with better glide and protection from damage compared to any other sintered and extruded base material, and is 50% thicker than the industry standard.
UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) is an incredibly strong material, has a higher abrasion resistance than steel, and resists cracking (unlike ABS).

We use a 3/4 wrap for our 2.5mm x 2.5mm Rockwell 48 steel edges. The 3/4 wrap allows the tips and tails of the skis to flex, decreasing the risk of delamination.

Triaxial Fiberglass consists of 3 strands woven at a 0 degree, and 45/45 degrees. The 0 degree glass provides longitudinal stiffness (ski flex), while 45/45 provides torsional stiffness (ski twist).
Full length and full height sidewalls are more abrasion resistant than steel. Absorbs and resists impact damage bettter than other sidewall materials.

DESIGN AND TECH ELLIPTICAL ROCKER PROFILE
TOUR LAYUP
The rocker profile and tip shape are combined into one progressively changing elliptical arc, which allows the tips to plane faster in powder, deflect less in variable snow, and helps the effective edge running within the rocker length to engage in a natural, effortless way.
A redesigned, thinner core profile supported with two layers of full-width carbon fiber results in lightweight, tour-oriented ski.
ELLIPTICAL SIDECUT An elliptical arc that begins at boot center and gets progressively smaller as it extends toward the tip and tail of the ski, resulting in a ski that carves harder the more it is put on edge, yet remains stable when it is skied flat.
SKIN CLIP TAIL Specially shaped tails ensure that your skins aren't going to fall off on the ascent, and allows for easy application of skins in deep snow: just place the tail on your boot, put the tip clip on, and pull down. A short section of edge in the tail keeps your skis from getting chewed up by the tail clips.
DESIGNED TO TAKE A BEATING BI-R ADIUS SIDECUT The sidecut consists of a smaller turn radius in the tip that works in conjunction with a larger turn radius in the tail, creating a directional ski that is stable going straight, but will easily carve once the turn is initiated and the ski is on edge.

DIRECT FROM THE SHOP WALL TO SKI SLOPES FACTORY FINISHING A meticulous 32 step finishing process - including a perfect, two-part base structure, hot wax + four hour hot box treatment, and a polished, beveled, detuned edge , allows skiers to mount and ski every ON3P out of the wrapper.
3/4 WR AP EDGES The edges don't wrap all the way around the tips and tails the way other brands build skis. The percieved durability is a marketing gimmick - 3/4 wrap edges allow the tips and tails to flex naturally, which prevents delamination.

Reverse Elliptical Sidecut, or "RES", is a large, convex elliptical arc that runs from boot center to tip taper, combined with a long, traditional sidecut radius in the tail. The goal is simple: create the best soft snow sidecut available. Think of RES in two parts. In the front half of the ski, the sidecut moves outward and tightens as it approaches the tip. This exaggerated, reverse sidecut ensures the skis remain catch free in powder and provide optimal soft-snow performance. The traditional sidecut in the tail gets you to and from the lift. When an RES ski is laid on edge, the RES tip and traditional sidecut tail work together to form a turn radius that provides the skier with surprising R OC K E R C A M B E R U N D E RF O O T edge hold.

New for 2017, we’ve updated RES with two different modifications. First, in our standard RES skis, we’ve incorporated straight sections of sidecut both underfoot and in the tips & tails. Underfoot, these straight sections improve edge hold by blending the transition point between the RES in the tips and traditional sidecut in the tail. In the tips/tails, the straight sections function to increase the effective edge by extending the skis contact length when the ski is flexed and in a turn. Second, we’ve developed an asymmetrical RES profile designed to be completely powder specific. The inside edge uses the foundation of our previous RES design, providing a catch free ride in soft snow while maintaining the ability to get to and from the lift. To optimize powder RO C K E R performance, we’ve asymmetrically tapered the outside sidecut of the ski to ensure that the skis flows more smoothly in and out of a powder turn, and decreases weight when the ski is on edge.

ON3P is proud to present the Magnus. Developed by Magnus Graner over the past year, the Magnus sets the new standard for rockered park skis. It retains all the Filthy Rich elements we love, but adds an updated rocker profile, sidecut, and flex. Its new sidecut design rides better both forward and switch, while its rounder, more playful flex makes butters and carves easier and more fun. This year, a three ski quiver represents our more focused options for those with jib thinking running through their all-mtn persuasions. Elliptical rocker and full length carbon fiber stringers come standard, as does our 100% bamboo core and thick, fast base and edge. For 2017, all models feature an updated rocker profile for improved stability and edge hold. The Kartel 98 returns as our tried and true option for mixing park performance into everything you can find under the lifts. Spins, butters, a bit of fresh snow or laying trenches down corduroy—this is your ride. An updated sidecut improves edge hold on hardpack and switch performance, while a new tip taper improves float and smooths the transition between turns. The Kartel 108 offers what we believe to be the best everyday ride for left coast skiers looking for a playful quiver-of-one. Park, pow, crud, hardpack - this ski will do it all. Incorporating years of design into one ski, this is the ski you will find ON3P employees skiing every day. The Kartel 116 incorporates previous Jeffrey design into an updated, freshly-tuned option for the wider ski market. Deep days, powder landings, and pillow lines are the name of the game. A modified tip taper improves tracking through variable snow and decreases swing weight, while enhancing float by pushing more width into the forebody of the ski.

Since our beginning, the Billy Goat has been the go-to choice for stability, power, and maneuverability in soft snow. Now in its 6th iteration, we’ve updated our Reverse Elliptical Sidecut design to incorporate small sections of straight sidecut within the effective edge, better blending the RES and improving edge hold and hardpack performance. The characteristics that define the Billy Goat remain - the ability to drive the ski when you want, smear the ski when you want, without tip drive, and without dumping speed. Since 2009, the Cease & Desist has been the reminder that sometimes you just need to run with it. The ski was designed to be the ultimate powder ski, and soon earned a name that reminds us every day of why we do what we do. For 2017, we’ve pushed the design forward and incorporated an asymmetrical sidecut design with the sole focus of making the best powder ski we’ve ever made even better. The inside edges share the same RES foundation that has made the Cease & Desist a powslayer for the past several years. The magic happens on the outside edge, where a decreased effective edge frees the outside of the ski to smear and pivot with ease, while the new tip & tail taper design decreases weight and ensures the tips remain catch-free as you flow in and out of powder turns. Combined with a proper rocker profile, tour layup, and our 100% bamboo core, for those who have the snow to ski it, the rich just got richer.

Each year, the touring ski market serves up options that sacrifice performance and durability for weight savings. For skiers who demand a quality ride on both the up and the down, and need skis that will take all the abuse the backcountry can dish out, we offer the all new Steeple Series. The Steeple 98 offers a traditional sidecut and a lower rocker profile based upon the directional Wrenegade platform, now in a Tour Layup. It’s our choice for a powerful, lively everyday touring ski for the untracked from Tuckerman’s to Stevens Pass. The Steeple 108 maintains the surfy, catch-free ride for those looking for greater flotation on the down. Thanks to our improved Reverse Elliptical Sidecut, it maintains better edge hold on hard snow traverses and when (gasp!) you have to ski 7.5 something that’s not soft. SOFT

Last winter, we stepped into the world of lady shred and were delighted by the warm welcome. The Jessie line returns updated and improved for 2017: fun, no pink-and-shrink skis that hold our standards for durability and construction in every regard. The Jessie 88 receives a complete redesign, following cues from the best-selling Kartel 98, and now offers both park performance and all mountain agility. Tapered tips keep the weight down in the air and when laying the ski edge to edge. Squarely hitting the sweet spot, the Jessie 98 is a versatile, poppy option that does right by any do-it-all skier. Elliptical rocker and elliptical sidecut offer smooth planing and a balanced turn that engages more the harder you lean on it, while an updated taper profile decreases hookiness and improves soft snow performance. Deep days are the domain of the Jessie 108. Everything we’ve learned about building powder skis has gone into this design, and it romps through the fluff with the best of them. For 2017, an improved taper profile increases float and stability with no additional weight.
