Pastoral Care

Currently, the Pastoral Care teams bring Holy Communion on Fridays to 17 Pastoral Care members, 25 residents at Arbour Heights, 10 residents at Conservatory Pond and 7 parishioners in Private Homes (6 locations). ARCC – Syrian Sponsorship Wrap-Up Meeting

It was with your generosity and good will that our formal sponsorship effort came to a successful close at the end of July. The committee’s gratitude and that of the Alzahabi family for all of your support, which came in so many ways, cannot be overstated. You are invited to attend a final general meeting on Monday, October 1 at 7pm in our parish hall. A final report will be presented by the co-ordinating committee as well as an opportunity to pose questions about this year-long initiative. All are welcome.

Life Chain:

Sunday September 30, 2018 2:00-3:00p.m. -the Annual Life Chain will be held across Canada. In Kingston we will gather at the Newlands Pavilion (next to Murney Tower-King St.) at 1:45 p.m. After opening prayers we will walk to King St. across from Kingston General Hospital where more than 38,000 preborn babies have been deliberately killed by abortion. This is a prayerful, silent event remembering all the victims of abortion. Please come and bring friends and families for one hour of silent prayer and witness to the sanctity of human life. Pre-Marriage Course

Couples who are planning to be married in the Catholic church are required to complete a pre-marriage course. First Confession/First Communion | The meeting

for parents/guardians of students in grade 2 or older who plan to celebrate Reconciliation and Eucharist this school year, for the first time, is Wed. Sept. 26, 7:00 pm. All parents/guardians are expected to attend this important meeting at the school. Students baptized outside of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish must have a Roman Catholic baptismal certificate.
