May 2020 Pentecost Letter from Father Brennan to OLOL School

Dearly Loved, Our Lady of Lourdes School, “Peace be with you.” The culmination of the Season of Easter is Pentecost, the fiftieth day, the Day of the Holy

Spirit. This year, Pentecost Sunday is May 31st. God, the Holy Spirit, lovingly and constantly

pours out this life-giving and life-enriching presence upon us. This year, especially, we seek, need, desire, and long for the Holy Spirit. There is ample evidence that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are already among us. The fruits of the Holy Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Galatians 5: 25-25)

When I consider Our Lady of Lourdes School; the students, staff, administration, principal, and organization, I am grateful to God, the Holy Spirit. In this time of pandemic, with

creativity, docility, cheerfulness, service, trust, faith, and particularly love, you manifest to each other, to the parish, to the community, and to all, that the promised Holy Spirit is ours. This past week your photos and smiles in Spirit Week reveal our life in Christ.

One of my greatest joys in the parish is Our Lady of Lourdes School. I miss you. I pray for

you. I thank you. It will be good to see you soon. Thank you to Mrs. Porter-Eves, the school

staff, the families, and especially, the students who are our younger brothers and sisters. May the Holy Spirit pour out the gifts and graces that only come from God. May the Holy Spirit grant you “Peace”. I am Sincerely Yours, Father Brennan
