Prayer to Christ the King

O Christ Jesus, I acknowledge you as King of the universe. All that has been created has been made for you. Exercise over me all your rights. I renew my baptismal promises, renouncing Satan and all his works and pomps. I promise to live a good Christian life and to do all in my power to procure the triumph of the rights of God and your Church. Divine Heart of Jesus, I offer you my poor actions in order to obtain that all hearts may acknowledge your sacred Royalty, and that thus the reign of your peace may be established throughout the universe. Amen.

Forms for the registration of candidates may be received from Our Lady of Lourdes School for students and from the Parish Office for all others. Flowers for Christmas – donations, in memoriam, or for the intentions of

your beloved relatives and friends, are being received now. These funds are used to purchase flowers for the glory of God and to beautify the Christmas liturgies. Your donations, as always, will receive income tax receipts and will be gratefully acknowledged. Envelopes are in the vestibule of the church. The intentions are remembered at all Christmas liturgies and posted in the church entrance.

Revenues included $3300 from ticket sales, $2000 from the silent auction, and $5200 cash donations, including two large donations from new members of the parish. Our attendance was down from the previous year, but those who were there had an enjoyable time sampling the beverages and the good food. Thanks to all who participated in any way.
