The King and I - Musical

On Wednesday, August 1, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish will sponsor a bus trip to Toronto to see the musical, THE KING AND I. This musical is described as “breathtaking and exquisite” and features such beloved classics as Getting to Know You, I Whistle a Happy Tune, Hello Young Lovers, Shall We Dance, Something Wonderful and I Have Dreamed. Tickets have been selling quickly. The price is $195 per person and includes a return trip to Toronto on a deluxe coach, admission to the play, dinner at Mandarin’s Restaurant, Pickering and a $40 Tax Receipt. Marriage Preparation Course

Friday, September 21, Registration: 6:30 pm. Course session 7 pm-8:30 pm and Saturday, September 22, 9 am – 6 pm concluding with the 5 pm Mass at St. Paul’s Church and presentation of course certificates. Course Fee: $130 per couple. St. Carthagh’s, Tweed, Annual Cemetery Mass

is scheduled for Saturday, July 7 at 11:00 am. There will be a reception on the parish grounds following the Mass. Please bring a lawn chair.

Parish Supper

Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 2905 Westport Road, Bedford Ontario. Sat. July 14, 4-7 pm. Roast Beef dinner, homemade pies and cheesecakes. Silent Auction. Jeff Code and Silver Wings Band. Choir from France visits St. Mary’s Cathedral on Sunday, July 15

Les Petits Chanteurs de Bordeaux, France, a 55-voice choir of boys, ages 7 to 20, is celebrating its 70th anniversary with a tour to grand venues in Québec and Ontario. There are two opportunities to hear the choir: during Mass at 10:30 am, and in a family-friendly concert at 2:30 pm. Cormac Pilgrimage to Shrine of St. Ann in Cormac

Sun., July 29. The principal Pilgrimage Mass will be celebrated at 11 am with Bishop Michael Mulhall presiding, and a Mass of healing will be celebrated at 2 pm. Annual Parish Supper

Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in Marmora is hosting their annual supper on Sunday, July 29 from 3:30-6:30 pm.
