Thank you to all who contributed to the beautiful Christmas season liturgies,

decorators, sacristans, lectors, ushers, servers, extra-ordinary ministers of Communion, the music ministry and all in roles of service and leadership. A special thank you to Deacon Greg Burliuk, Theresa McKay, Elizabeth Genovese, Michael Taylor the Liturgy Committee and all those who volunteer.

Thank you to Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes for the beautiful winter floral arrangements in the church entrance and for the 2018 Church Art Calendars.

CWL Membership Drive. All ladies of the parish are

invited to join or renew their membership with the Catholic Women’s League of Canada. Members will be in the vestibule over the weekends of January 19-20 and 26-27 to answer any questions and collect your $20 renewal fee. We look forward to greeting all of our sisters in the League. We will also continue our tradition of receiving donations of new socks that will be passed along to local shelters and hospital emergency rooms.


2019 Church Offering Envelopes are prepared. Please collect from the

church vestibule. All members of the parish with an income are needed to help support the church. We ask those who wish their names added to our list of envelope holders to contact the office. If your contact information has changed, please inform the office. Envelopes will be removed from the vestibule on early January 13.

Income Tax Receipts for 2018 can be issued only for contributions received

by Dec. 31, 2018

Living with Christ Missals Thank you to the family of the parish who

donated $1,000 toward the expense of monthly missalettes for the use of the parish. The missals are to all stay in the Church. The total missal cost is $1392.73 for an annual subscription of 50 copies.

Automatic Debit Program The regular contributions received through the direct debit program really make a difference to the financial health of the parish. This initiative has been embraced by an increasing number of our parishioners. If you, too, would like to use the direct debit plan as an option, please pick up the information from the church vestibule or call our parish office for further details. We thank you for your continued support of Our Lady of Lourdes parish.

Sacraments Liturgical Assignments are posted on the bulletin boards and on the parish website Holy Communion to those in the Parish who are not well enough to come to Sunday Mass, please contact Carol Young: 613-389-6306. Sacrament of Penance Saturday, 4:30-5:00 p.m., daily before Mass, and by appointment Sacrament of Baptism: by appointment Sacrament of Marriage: Arrange 6 months in advance. Pre-marriage course required Sacrament of the sick: as needed. Call the parish office.


Volunteers Needed

The Hotel Dieu Hospital site of Kingston Health Sciences Centre (KHSC) is recruiting volunteers to spend time with patients and families in clinic and postsurgical areas, at the Information Desk in the main lobby, and in their Boutique, Café and Snack Cart. Every interaction improves the patient and family experience. Volunteers are expected to commit to one 2 to 3-hour shift per week and we are open to discussion with snowbirds, cottagers, travelers, and other schedule alternatives.
