Work Plan
Dear Network, we started our term the 1st of June 2016 and we met in Brussels for the NetCom Meeting the first weekend of July. During this meeting we drafted our Work Plan for our term from Agora Bergamo to Agora Chisinau. We decided to work on the topics you’ll find in the next pages, because we believe that they will be useful to strengthen the Network, helping out the members of the locals in working in a more smooth way. Improve the Visibility of the NetCom We will analyse our communication channels and develop a strategy in order to better reach AEGEEans, by sharing our work and the opportunities that the Network Commission and AEGEE offer. Moreover we will develop a new tool which is the Newsletter, where we will put the most important news and pieces of information to be sure that – most of all – board members will be updated, with all what needs to be known, to lead a local. An example of what joy will be able to find: NWMs, NetCom trips and project, Hangouts, etc. Promotion of Twinder Twinder is a tool which promotes the two NetCom Projects Twin Antenna and Mentorship which have been created to help the locals to cooperate, share their know hows, help each other, create personal connections etc. They have been ongoing for a long time, but we still see the need to promote them in order to reach as many locals as possible, in order to connect them and establish a fruitful cooperation and agreement between them. Contact Toolkit We want to work on a booklet that might help groups of people who want to set up a contact in their cities. We know how hard it can be to deal with all the bureaucracy we have in AEGEE, and if someone is not used to it, it’s even harder. We want to make the process of establishing a contact the easier possible, in order to be able to welcome in the best way possible the new locals of our Network. Antenna Criteria Reform It’s not new that locals are struggling with the fulfillment of the Antenna Criteria. Some of them are very easy to get and others are requires more human and economical resources to be fulfilled. Not all the Criteria we are having now are able to really tell if a local is healthy or not, that’s why we need to revise the Antenna Criteria, to do so we will research the opinion of the locals, CD, NetCom, and EB in general, looking also in the history of our Organization. After it we will work to propose a revised list of Antenna Criteria at Agora Chisinau.
Review Mentorship System The Mentorship System is a NetCom project since many years, but we saw that it may lack of effectiveness because many locals don’t have time to mentor other in need locals. This is the main issue and we want to try to solve it, figuring out other ways to develop the Mentorship System and make it works!
NWM Reform During the last term we started the NWM reform, which was about unifying the Network under the perspective of NWMs, which are one of the many tools the NetCom has. We basically want to continue what we have started in the last term and make it more smooth, for example a united Open Calls, sessions, participant selections, etc.
Besides this we will continue working individually with our locals to develop our Network as a whole. We will cooperate with the European Bodies and the Comité Directeur, we will develop the Network Commission and our Working Format under which we will work for six months in order to help the Network to grow.
