2014 NAA Education Conference & Exposition: Media Report A comprehensive look at media, social and website coverage during the 2014 NAA Education Conference & Exposition, June 18-21 in Denver.
Traditional Media Report Pro-active outreach: NAA’s Manager of Public Relations, Lauren Boston, personally reached out to the major Denver publications and stations (The Denver Post, The Advocate, 9 News NBC, 7 News ABC and CBS Denver 4) with specific events of interest for them at the conference, as well as opportunities to speak with NAA leadership. Additionally, we reached out to local Spanish-speaking outlets, such as La Prensa de Colorado, that would possibly have an interest in the Maintenance Mania competition. Media who attended the conference included: The Denver Post, Multi-Housing News, Multifamily Insiders, Multihousing Pro Magazine, Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., Bigger Pockets and The APTS. Total Hits in June: 870. Although we weren’t monitoring the specific number of hits last June, by comparison, our previous record over the past year was 242 hits in one month. The majority of June’s coverage came from the Education Conference & Exposition. Sixteen press releases were issued in June, many of which were picked up nationwide in local business publications. Several releases were distributed onsite to announce the 2014 NAA Community of the Year, Maintenance Mania National Champion, final exhibitor and attendee numbers and conference highlights.
