Our 8th Annual Tri4Kids is open to all students ages 5-12 who have an interest in competing in a triathlon (swim, bike, run)! Our event is a friendly competition and meant to introduce children to the sport by getting them physically active at an early age. Race distances will vary based on age. T-shirt not guaranteed if registered after June 29.

Dive In Movie Night, June 1

Watch a movie at the Mechanicsburg Area Community Pool. The pool will not be open to the public. Swimming will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm and the movie will be from 8:00-10:00 pm. Season Pool Pass Holder: $5/pp, Adult: $9/pp, Child: $7 pp. Concession Stand available.

Summer Adventure Camp

Date: May 3 - May 4 Time: 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm Location: Trails & Trees Environmental Center Instructor: Timothy Wenrich, WCO Ages: 11+ This training class is required by law for all first-time hunters and trappers before they can buy a license. You must pass a certification exam at the end of the class to complete this training. Important: In order to prepare for your class, read Chapters 1, 4, 5 and 9 located at Today’s Hunter & Trapper in PA located on the PA Game Commission website. Donations being taken the first night of class for the Trails & Trees Environmental Center. To enroll, please go to www.pgc.state.pa.us. SAC is a 10 week enrichment day camp offered to students ages 5-14. Campers participate in weekly field trips, theme days, group activities and swimming. Early registration begins March 5. In partnership with the Lower Allen Township Police Department and Tiger Rock Martial Arts, we invite you to join us for an evening of training designed to ensure a better chance of survival in the event of an active shooter scenario. Participants age 14-17 must be accompanied by a paying adult age 18 or older.

BEHIND THE WHEEL DRIVER EDUCATION

Location: Mechanicsburg Senior High School Instructors: Doug Erney, Gary Davidson Ages: At least 15 but less than 19 Fee: $320 This course is available to students holding a valid learner’s permit or license and completing the classroom phase (or currently enrolled in good standing). This driving program does not assure students of receiving a valid driver’s license when the course is completed. The instruction is scheduled during a student’s study hall, after school or during the summer. Must reside in the Mechanicsburg Area School District. A $160 deposit is needed upon registration and an additional $160 is required by the first day behind the wheel.
