Summer Adventure Camp

SAC is an enrichment day camp offered to students ages K-14. Campers participate in weekly field trips, theme days, group activities and swimming. Registration is open. Register early to ensure your camper the best summer! Registrations will be accepted 8th Annual Triples Tournament until camp is full. Information available online. “SAC is an outstanding program! Our Save the date! Saturday, June 1, join teams in this volleyball tournament to child loves the fun activities and we love the fact that he is outside enjoying the summer, rather than sitting indoors staring at a screen. Our event is a friendly competition and reunion? Host your next party at Trails and Trees ECenter! We accommodate swimmers of varying skill levels. All levels devote a large amount of time to correct stroke technique, starts, turns, endurance, sports psychology as well as aerobic and anaerobic training. Prerequisite: The minimum requirement to enter is the ability to swim one length of front crawl with rotary breathing. The swimmer should also be able to attempt a basic dive from the side of the pool.

FIELD HOCKEY LEAGUE Travel Field Hockey

Travel team players are expected to be committed to playing on Sundays. There will be two practices per week beginning in late August thru mid-October. Games will be played at various locations in Central PA. Players are expected to attend BOTH nights of try-outs tentatively scheduled the week of Aug 19. There will be a brief mandatory parents meeting at the beginning of the first day of try-outs. Recreational Field Hockey

An opportunity for girls from K to 6th grade will learn the basics of the game of field hockey. Practices will begin in late August and run until approximately the beginning of October. Practices will be held once a week and friendly games will be played with local teams on a few Sundays. WRESTLING CAMP

The participants will be placed into groups by the coaching staff. The fundamentals of wrestling will be covered for the younger group. The older group will learn more of the technique of wrestling. K-4 CO-ED SUMMER BASKETBALL Date: Tu/Th, Jun 4 - Jun 18 Time: 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm Location: Memorial Park Basketball Courts Ages: At least 5 but less than 11 Instructor: Coach Laudenslager Keep your basketball skills sharp, learn a couple new drills and then play pick-up games. Cost is $8 to register and then $5 each night to participant. Please pay the instructor $5 each night. You MUST be pre-registered to participate.

Dive In Movie Night

“Dive-In” to Summer with Wildcat Wellness! Join Wildcat Wellness for a FREE family event at Mechanicsburg Area Community Pool on Friday, June 7th. The swimming pool will be open from 4:00 - 8:00pm and a movie will be shown from 8:00 - 10:00pm. Watch for the flyer in May for more details. Ages 15 and younger MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Wildcat Before & After Care

Mechanicsburg Area Recreation is pleased to provide before and after school care for 4th & 5th graders attending Elmwood Academy! Wildcat Care will operate on school days from 6:30 am - 7:30 am & 2:30 pm 6:00pm. All-day care will also be available on certain holiday recess/teacher in-service days.
