VARIED CATEGORIE
JR is the perfect example of my definition of creativity. He has no plan, he does things, he follows his instinct and this is where it leads: he changes the world. The power of images, the media change, the strength of emotions ... all of this is reflected in his creations. I always feel that I do not have to present an artist like him, but it seems that it is not as famous as the people he meets regularly (U2 with whom he shared a few hours studio; Robert De Niro, with whom he regularly eats or David Lynch with whom he worked on a project...). So here’s a quick portrait of this great artist through his vision, through the images he publishes daily on instagram and are a constant source of inspiration...

1 year ago, I launch the new Mr Cup web site from Bali, where I stay for a year. It is a big succes for me, as so much more people follow me and it is a pleasure to share my passion for design and beautiful objects ! So much more is coming !!! As stated in one of the sentences of the calendar, «Some things take time.» I want to publish those photos long ago, but it seems it was waiting for the right moment! I met Jean-Christophe last summer, after visiting El Calotipo in Spain and Miss Clara in Bordeaux. I met him via facebook and I was attracted by a photo of his buisness card ! When Piers Faccini asked me to help him to print posters accompanied the release of his latest album, I thought it was a good opportunity to do a project together! The paper cut Piers created for the cover of the album are perfect for letterpress! We made four posters, two with the album cover and two with the «lovers», alternating black, blue and red colors.
