Cutting seafood in bite size and adding onions, seaweed and leek then marinate them with soy sauce. “Poke” means “cut” in Hawaiian word. The girl featured in the last issue who had severely injured in the Kosovo had multiple treatment in Japan. 前号で登場したコソボで大怪我を負った少女は、 日本で治療を重ねました。

tory of Besjana is continued from the last month issue. She was a year and 9 months old when she got terrible burn on her head and face as her house was burned down by bombing attack during the war in Kosovo In those days Yugoslavian nationals could not travel to Japan, however, she got a special permission by the Foreign Ministry of Japan and made it to Japan at age of 3 years and 4 months as first time. Besjana left war-teared Kosovo and has began the process of reconstruction of burned tissue in Japan where she experienced a lot of pain, hardship, crying as series of plastic surgeries went on as well as adjusting in the different food, culture and language. She was hosted in a home at one of ADRA Japan staff in Tokyo while she received the surgical treatment in Tokyo Adventist Hospital in Ogikubo. She also experienced learning Japanese at a local elementary school during her stay in Tokyo. The transplant and reconstruction of her right side facial skin and scared tissue on her head by inserting a silicon balloon under the skin to pull the skin tissue of haired area to the forehead by expanding the balloon took several months. Reconstruction of right side ear by transplanting part of her own costal cartilage was extremely difficult surgery process. One day, some volunteers escorted Besijana to Tokyo Disney Land for a fun time. She enjoyed it very much but ended up with suffering and crying due to the refreshed memories of bombing in Kosovo as the fireworks show took place in the night. “I am scared! This is just like a war!” she screamed. She said in the last interview just before her last departure from Tokyo “I was so afraid of people in Japan that I always covered my face and head with a big hat as I commute to the Hospital, but now I can walk around anyplace with a big smile on my face. Not scared of fireworks anymore. I love Japanese people and I love Japan. My whole family love Japan. If I had no chance to come to Japan to get my surgery I would have shut my door and stayed in the room all my life. I will never forget the good people in Japan. が、 外務省の特別配慮でベシアナは３歳４ヶ月での初来日以降11年間に ６回訪日し合計15回の手術を受けました。 戦乱のコソボから平和の国日 本に来て、 言葉や食べ物、 文化習慣すべてが異なる環境で生活しながら治 療を受けましたが、 それは多くの痛み、 苦しみ、 涙に満ちていました。 ADRA Japan のスタッフの家庭に滞在し、 荻窪にある東京衛生病院との間を行き 来しながら、 平日は地元の学校に通って日本語を学び、 日本の小学生と共 に勉強しました。 手術は右側顔面のケロイド部分の皮膚の移植、 頭皮の瘢 痕拘縮 （頭部の傷跡が硬くなり引きつれている状態） を直すためにシリコ ン性の風船状のものを頭皮の下に入れそれを時間をかけて膨らませて頭 皮を伸ばし、 毛髪の残っている部分を頭部全体に広げる手術、 そして、 形 がなくなっている右耳を本人の胸の肋軟骨を使って再建する手術など通 常では考えられないような難しいものばかりでした。 ある日、 支援者の好意 でディズニーランドに遊びに行ったときのことです。 夜に花火が上がると、 その音で驚き物のかげに隠れて 「もういや、 怖い！戦争みたい！」 と怖がって 泣き叫びました。 ベシアナは最後の治療を終えて帰国する際のインタビューで思い出とお 礼の言葉を語りました。 「最初の頃はいつも、 人と会うのが怖くて、 帽子で 頭から顔を隠して病院に通いました。 今は頭を上げてちゃんと歩けます。 も う今は花火も怖くないです。 私は日本が大好き、 私を助けてくれた日本人の みなさんが大好きです。 私の国の父も母も、 おじいさんもおばあさんもみん な日本が大好きです。 私の火傷が治っていなかったとしたら、 今も部屋に閉 じこもっていたと思います。 みなさん、 ありがとう。 日本のみなさんのことは （ベシアナを助ける会 NPO法人ADRA Japanから引用） 一生忘れません」

Not only you can’t get rid of the plaque but you can give damage to the gum. Most people just rub the surface of the teeth strongly. It is important you gently brush your teeth one by one regardless of using electric or non-electric brushes. We recommend you get rid of plaque and calculus at dental clinic regularly.
