In the centre, you will find plenty of pork and crab meat where you can enjoy not only the flavor but also just the fun of eating it. At night, in addition to the two hundred different types of food you can order, we highly recommend the seafood. Lu’s Garden Since its establishment in 1989, this Taiwanese-style rice porridge restaurant has become famous for its quick and healthy eating options. From the counter, you can see fifty different types of side dishes you can add to your rice porridge. After choosing what you want, then you pay. After you sit at the table, the staff brings you your rice porridge with a side of yam (a type of sweet potato). Here you get delicious smooth rice porridge and deliciously flavored side delicious. The combination is epic and they go perfectly with each other. Savoy Kitchen This restaurant has become famous for their Southeast Asian Hainan Chicken Rice, bringing in the crowds only for this dish. Hainan Chicken Rice is boiled chicken with rice used from the stock of that boiled chicken. The rice is great and the chicken is as tender as can be. It comes with three original sauces: ginger, chili, and soy sauce. Each sauce is spectacular and can be mixed and matched and enjoyed with the chicken. Whatever combination, it’s delicious. Also, here you can find curry, pasta, pizza and other Western dishes. And with the newly renovated counter, we really feel that more people will come in on their own and stop by for a drink.

Students from K through 9 gathered twice a week for Japanese coursework. At the campus entrance, students en route to the classrooms would greet me with a cheerful “Good afternoon, principal,” while bowing. A bright, cheerful atmosphere filled each and every classroom. Not just Japanese language courses, but mathematics, and other courses were conducted in Japanese, preparing students to continue undertaking Japanese school courses even if they were to return to Japan. Moreover, various functions offered by the school allowed students to learn Japanese culture and customs, time was set aside for Bible study to nurture personal development, and many other opportunities to learn outside of the classroom were provided, as well. The other day, I had the opportunity to speak to a first grade classroom. “Children raised in America and Japan can buy things they want with money. But there are children in the world’s poor counties that can’t buy food or obtain clean water, and easily become ill. In warring nations, there are explosives called land mines buried in the ground, and there are even children that lose their legs by stepping on them while they play.” This provoked a heated response from the students. “Why can’t they drink clean water?” “Why don’t they have food?” Living in a free nation, understanding such poverty and danger is difficult. Nonetheless, the students eagerly considered these issues, and continued speaking. “Teacher, if my friend were to lose a leg, I would want to help him.” “I’ll share my rice with a child in a country without food. Mom’s onigiri are big, after all, and it would be a waste to throw away even a grain of rice.” In that moment, the importance of what we pass down to the next generation was confirmed for me once more.

Perfect Weather! In the winter, the waves are quite large making it difficult to go swimming in the ocean. In the summer, there are practically no waves, possibly making it the best time for people. Time to get on that reservation as it’s quite hard to get one!
