Active, Reserve, National Guard, and Retired Military receive 10% off all membership categories with a current military ID card and the joining fee is waived. Joining Information Our joining fee is used for major repairs and equipment replacement. The fee is payable when you join. Expired or cancelled memberships greater than 30 days are subject to repayment of the joining fee to renew membership. Joining fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Financial Assistance We want everyone to have access to our facilities and programs. It’s our mission to ensure that everyone gets a chance to experience life change at the Y, regardless of their ability to pay. Financial assistance is made available on a limited basis for low-income families or individuals. Confidential applications are available at our Welcome Center or on our website.

A PLACE TO BE HEALTHY... FITNESS & WELLNESS The Y is focused on healthy living and one big component of that is fitness and wellness. If you’re a new member, new exerciser, or just someone looking to get back into a routine, the Y offers several programs to kick off a healthy lifestyle, all of which are free to members. Fitness Center Our newly renovated fitness center has stateof-the art cardio equipment with interactive displays and dozens of strength equipment. Group Exercise Classes We offer more than 70 group exercise classes each week to meet the needs of seniors, adults, youth and families. Our classes are free for members and include a wide variety of cardio, strength and mind/body options. Personal Training We have a team of highly qualified personal trainers available to optimize your time, energy and exercise routine. These trainers have a variety of specialties and can provide you with a personalized, functional and effective workout. We offer one-onone, training for two, and small group personal training packages.

KickStart KickStart is a FREE program that provides you with an easy-to-follow plan and cutting-edge fitness equipment. In three meetings over 30 days, our Wellness Coaches will help you set attainable goals and will provide the ongoing support necessary for your success. With KickStart, you will... • Learn key exercises that will make the greatest impact based on the goals you have established with your Wellness Coach. • Get invaluable answers to common questions about health and wellness, and learn what really works versus what is myth or hype.

Your children are your priority, and they’re ours, too! Child Watch is a fun, safe getaway for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. While you spend some time working out and taking care of yourself, let us take care of your children. At Kids Club, 6 to 12 year olds can spend time in the evenings while you work out! DAY CAMP Every day is an adventure at camp. We are proud to serve our community by offering one of the best summer camp programs around! Choose from traditional, specialty, sports and leader-in-training camps. We offer camps at both Mottino Family YMCA and Ivey Ranch Elementary School. When school is out, camp is in! Make those school breaks memorable and bring your kids to the Y where we’ll have a great time playing games, making crafts, and having adventures that will help them learn, make friends and build character.

From first-time swimmers to our seasoned swimmers Mottino Family YMCA offers a space to splash for everyone who wants to jump in the water. We offer lap swimming daily, family open swim and even a seasonal activity pool and slide! Swim Lessons & Swim Team Learning to swim is fun at the Y, whether you are 2 or 92! We offer monthly sessions of swim lessons for children and adults, tailored to age and ability level. These programs springboard into more specialized programming for children and adults.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES Volunteer Do you want to make a difference in your community? Whether you have a little or a lot of time to give, the Y would greatly appreciate having you as a volunteer. Here at the Y, we rely on volunteers to play an integral role in many of our programs. MEMBER & PARTICIPANT CODE OF CONDUCT Joe & Mary Mottino Family YMCA is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests. To promote safety and comfort for everyone, all individuals are asked to act appropriately at all times when in our facility or participating in our programs. We expect persons using the YMCA to act maturely, to behave responsibly, and to respect the rights and dignity of others. Our Member & Participant Code of Conduct outlines prohibited action, but the actions listed below are not an all-inclusive list of behaviors considered inappropriate in our facilities or programs. • Loaned membership cards used by any individual other than the holder is against policy. • Using or possessing alcohol or illegal chemicals on YMCA property, in YMCA vehicles or at YMCA sponsored programs. • Smoking on YMCA property—the YMCA is a smoke-free environment. • No pets are allowed on YMCA property unless they are service animals to assist members while accessing the facilities. • Carrying or concealing a weapon or any device or object that may be used as a weapon. • Harassment or intimidation by words, gestures, body language or any type of menacing behaviors. • Physical contact with another person in an angry, aggressive or threatening way. • Verbally abusive or offensive behavior, including angry or vulgar language, swearing, name-calling or shouting. • Sexually-explicit conversation or behavior; any sexual contact with another person. • Inappropriate, immodest or sexually-revealing attire. • Theft or behavior that results in the destruction or loss of property. • Loitering within or on the grounds of the YMCA. • Cell phone photography or unauthorized photography of members or participants. Joe & Mary Mottino Family YMCA reserves the right to deny access or membership to any person who has been convicted of any crime involving sexual abuse, is or has been a registered sex offender, has ever been convicted of any offense relating to the use, sale, possession or transportation of narcotics or habit forming and/or dangerous drugs, chemicals, narcotics or intoxicating beverages. Members and guests are encouraged to take responsibility for their personal comfort and safety. Anyone who feels uncomfortable in confronting a person directly should report the behavior to a staff member or the Manager on Duty. Suspension or termination of YMCA membership privileges may result if the Executive Director determines that a violation of the Member & Participant Code of Conduct has occurred.

MORE ABOUT MEMBERSHIP AND PROGRAMS Guest Policy Introduce your friends and family to the YMCA! As a YMCA member you may bring guests to the Y under the following guidelines: • Members receive unlimited FREE guest passes. Maximum of two visits per year, per guest. • Guests are required to present photo ID and sign a waiver at the Welcome Center. • All guests must follow Mottino Family YMCA policies and procedures. • Guests of YMCA members may use Child Watch. • All guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by their parents or have a signed medical waiver on file. AWAY Policy The YMCA of San Diego County endorses the nationwide YMCA visiting member program, AWAY (Always Welcome at YMCAs) and welcomes YMCA members outside of San Diego County! Visiting AWAY members are permitted to use facilities and participate in programs under the same fee structure as our own members. Membership must be current and active at home branch. Two Ways To Pay: Bank Draft Membership • Upon joining you give authorization for the YMCA to automatically withdraw your membership fees from your checking account, debit or credit card. • This is an ongoing deduction. Notify the YMCA of any changes to your account or card prior to your draft date to avoid additional fees. • All cancellations must be received in writing 10 days prior to your draft date to avoid charges for the current month. • Payments must be kept current or account is subject to cancellation. • All membership fees are non-refundable and nontransferable. Annual/Semi-Annual Membership • Annual payments are equivalent to 12 monthly payments. • Semi-annual payments are equivalent to 6 month payments.

• Renewal of annual memberships must take place within 30 days of expiration or will be subject to repayment of the joining fee. • All membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Returned Check/Bank Draft Policy • There is a $10 fee for all returned checks or returned bank drafts. You will be notified by mail or email for all membership or program returns. • Membership Returns: Memberships are placed on hold and facility usage will not be permitted until payment is received. Your membership will be cancelled if payment is not received by the next billing cycle. • Program Returns: You will not be permitted to participate in any program until payment is received. • Credit Card Drafts: If your credit card information changes, please contact us to update your account. Program Enrollment Registration for programs may be done at the Welcome Center or online. To avoid late fees and to provide safe student/teacher ratios, advance registration is recommended for all programs. Space is limited. The fee must be paid in full prior to the start of class. Membership Cancellation Policy Membership cancellation requests must be in writing 10 days prior to your automatic payment date. You may complete a cancellation form in the membership office, email, fax or mail your request. If you do not receive a confirmation notice acknowledging receipt of your request, it is your responsibility to follow up with our membership office. Lost & Found Policy Mottino Family YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen items. All items turned in to the Welcome Center will be held for up to two weeks. If not claimed, the items will then be donated. Please check at the Welcome Center for lost items.
