TCL Communication Previews Multiple 5G Devices at Mobile World Congress 2019

This week at Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona, TCL Communication demonstrated the company’s first functional 5G USB data terminal. Currently in its pre-launch stage, the device highlights the partnership between TCL Communication and China Mobile in the 5G commercial terminal business; TCL plans to launch the device in Q2 2019 as its first 5G terminal product, becoming one of the first manufacturers to do so. Additionally, TCL Communication exhibited 5G CPE and smartphone devices at the Mobile World Congress; showcasing 5G products in multiple categories as a key proof-point of the company’s comprehensive technical layout and product planning for the next generation in connectivity. TCL’s 5G USB data terminal will make it possible for PC end users to enjoy high-speed rates of 4Gbps downlink and 2Gbps uplink. At the same time, it uses SA networking mode, n41 and n78 frequency band, 200M bandwidth, 4x4 MIMO and other solutions to provide consumers with quick and easy access to productivity tools, software services and high-graphic games in the cloud. The terminal is equipped with a large 4000mAh battery to ensure full-day use, as well as the MediaTek Helio M70, the chipmaker’s first-generation 5G chip. It also supports independent networking (SA) and non-independent networking (NSA), and 4G/5G multi-mode multi-frequency, providing users with multi-entry access services worldwide.

Airtel and Ciena to Build One of the World’s Largest Photonic Control Plane Networks

Bharti Airtel, India’s leading telecommunications services provider, is deploying Ciena’s (NYSE: CIEN) coherent optical and intelligent software platforms to build one of the World’s Largest Photonic Control Plane networks in India. Airtel’s new backbone network will serve the exploding demand for high speed data services. Fronthaul is the link between baseband unit and radio, and modernization of this part of the transport network is essential to deliver high-speed and low latency of 5G services. Zavia has major distribution hubs in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Indore. The company also has a highly professional sales team and R&D staff. Over time, Zavia has refined its business processes and marketing techniques to meet the latest technologies and demand trends. We will also expand our operations into other regions where we are not strong yet. The theme of the panel discussion was ‘The features of offline business vs the online business in the mobile industry for the retailers.’ The function was addressed by President, Sri Mridul Biswas and Secretary, Rupam Ghosh of AIMRA DAKSHIN.
