Leader: Lee Dion 375-2339 NO HIKE ON NOVEMBER 21ST HAPPY THANKSGIVING Fri 11/23 Waterfence (5 miles) 10:00 am On the day after Thanksgiving there’s nothing better for your waistline and your psyche than a vigorous hike through some beautiful landscape. Come join our leader on a vigorous walk in Hither Woods. Meet at the Hither Hills West Overlook off Rt. 27, about 1 mile east of the Montauk Highway/Old Montauk Highway split. Leader: Ed Porco 668-2093 Sat 11/24 Accabonac Preserve (3 miles) 10:00 am This woodland preserve dominated by crisscross trails and a variety of tree species provides diversity for the hiker. Meet at the south side of Red Dirt Road approx. a ¼ mile from Old Accabonac Highway in Amagansett. Leader: Gene Makl 324-8662 Sat 11/24 Hither Woods (6-7 miles) 10:00 am We will hike on several hilly trails in Hither woods, mostly on the Paumanok Path and the Serpent’s Back Trail. We will walk through interesting woods and have some gorgeous bay views. Meet at the Overlook on Route 27, about 1 mile east of the Old Montauk Hwy fork. From there, we will shuttle to Napeague Harbor Road to begin our hike. Bring snacks and water. Inclement weather could cancel, call if in doubt. Meet off Red Dirt Road, about ¼ mile east of Accabonac Road.
