EAST HAMPTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY, Osborn-Jackson House 101 Main Street, East Hampton, NY 11937 631.324.6850 Tuesday – Saturday 10am-4pm The Osborn-Jackson House, named for its first and last owners, was lived in by six generations of Osborns until the late 1960's. The original portion of the house, probably built in 1723, was the family home of "Deacon" Daniel Osborn. His son Jonathan inherited the house and made additions in 1760. The house was owned successively by his sons Joseph and Sylvanus, his grandson Edward E. Gardiner, and their descendants until the mid-20th century. This colonial house, one of the few still in its original position on Main Street, is owned and maintained by the Village of East Hampton. Lionel Jackson donated the property to the Village of East Hampton in 1977 for use as a museum. It serves as the headquarters for the East Hampton Historical Society and a period house museum for the general public. The museum features a display of furnishings typical of the well-to-do lifestyle of a post-colonial East End family. Highlights of the exhibition include a tall clock, a high chest, candle stands and chairs built in the East Hampton workshop of the Dominy family of craftsmen between 1780 and 1840. SOUTHAMPTON HISTORICAL MUSEUM, 17 Meeting House Lane, Southampton 631.283.2494 Tuesday – Saturday 11am – 4pm The Southampton Colonial Society (now doing business as the Southampton Historical Museum) was organized in 1898 and incorporated in 1910. In its early days, the Society collected and exhibited historical objects and documents relating to the history and development of Southampton, organized pageants, and gave lectures on antiques. By the 1990s the Rogers Mansion property had expanded to include 12 historic structures including a one-room schoolhouse, a colonial era barn, and a 19th century paint shore, among others. The museum is 31 North Main Street, East Hampton NY 11937 631-324-9766 innkeeper@millhouseinn.comwww.millhouseinn.com

The Mill House Inn East Hampton NY - “Your Home in the Hamptons” open year-round with changing exhibits on historic topics, a research center, and extensive education programs for schoolchildren and adults. WOLFFER ESTATES, 3312 Montauk Highway, Sagaponack, NY 11962 631.537.5106 Wölffer Estate Vineyard is unquestionably a beautiful place. But the creation of it spanned over three decades and required a creative vision, an ability to bring dreams to reality and a great deal of dedicated hard work by many people. Christian Wölffer possessed the vision and, with the meticulous care of his professional team, built this special place – Wölffer Estate Vineyard. The original parcel of land was a potato farm with an old farmhouse in what is now the middle of the estate. Over the years, as more acres were acquired, paddocks and stables were added and, in 1988, the vineyard was founded. This 55-acre vineyard is part of a 175-acre estate with boarding stables, 30 paddocks, an indoor jumping ring, and a Grand Prix field. Both the stables and winery have a European character and, from these former potato fields, world-class wines have come forth. Wölffer Estate Vineyard is an American winery in the classic European tradition.
