GUILD HALL 158 Main Street, East Hampton 324-0806 The Naked Stage – Staged Play Readings in The John Drew Theatre at Guild Hall 7:30 pm The Naked Stage is a working collective of performing artists dedicated to the development of theatre on the East End of Long Island. The members of The Naked Stage believe in the possibilities generated by the collaboration of devoted people. We wish to provide a focal point for the encouragement of theatre and all it’s associated arts. The Naked Stage: Works in Progress serves as an incubator and laboratory for actors, writers, directors, dancers, composers, musicians and designers to practice and explore their craft free from the constraints of production schedules, budgets, criticism and public performance.

Tues 5/12 The Naked Stage presents a staged reading of THE MISER by Moliere, presented by Spindletop Productions 7:30 pm Free Lead Artist: Jonathan Peters, Featuring an ensemble cast TBA. Jonathan Peters and the actors who delviered the successful farce "Don't Dress for Dinner" by Marc Camoletti for Spindletop Productions at the John Drew Theater in 2002 reunite to explore the possibility of another zany production for East End audiences.

Fri 5/22 Guild Hall Grand Reopening: Alec Baldwin hosts The Hamptons International Film Festival: The Cove 8:00 pm Guild Hall Grand Re-Opening Memorial Day Weekend. Alec Baldwin hosts The Hamptons International Film Festival: The Cove. The Cove won the 2009 Audience Award for best documentary at Sundance.

Sat 5/23 Guild Hall Grand Re-Opening Gala: An Intimate Evening with Liza featuring Billy Stritch 7:00 pm Gala tickets $1000 includes 7:00 pm performance; 8:30 pm Dinner at the Gardiner property on James Lane / Limited Tickets $150 / $145 members Presented by Guild Hall in association with r/j productions. The iconic legend of stage and screen, the one and only Liza Minnelli, officially opens the newly renovated John Drew Theater. A two-time Tony award winner, Ms. Minnelli has also received an Emmy, a Grammy and and Oscar. She recently sold-out on Broadway, and Charles Isherwood of The New York Times found “Ms. Minnelli’s intensity and generosity glow more brightly than ever in this captivating concert performance.” Tickets (performance only) go on sale May 7th. 4:00 pm – 4:45 pm Evolution 3 An eclectic mix of funky jazz and rock originals.

5:15 pm – 6:15 pm The Blue Collar Band A popular, local dance band.

6:45 pm – 7:30 pm The Surf Dogs One of the premier bands for surf and retro rock on the East End of Long Island.

8:00 pm – 9:00 pm The Lost Keys Focus on the music of Clapton, Hendrix, Dylan, and the Doors. The Grand Re-Opening weekend is made possible in part through the generosity of c/o The Maidstone, a luxury destination from the owners of c/o hotels, and Mike Clifford and Robert Levy.

Fri 5/29 Word Up! A Celebration of Poetry 7:00 pm East Hampton Middle School and Montauk School’s 8th Grade classes. Poetry readings, live music, art, and open mic for students.
