Globe Med/ Corp Co Sponsored Funraising Event
GlobeMed co-sponsored an annual fundraising event with the CORP service and outreach committee at Georgetown. The CORP of Georgetown is the largest entirely student-owned and student-operated corporation in the world, with a staff of over 200 students.

Globe Med Restaurant Night at Qdoba
Our restaurant night was held at the local Qdoba, five blocks from campus. Students could bring "vouchers" that we made, printed and passed out, and 20% of the donations were donated to our partner organization.

Globe Med Global Health Lecture: Dr. Jonathan Quick
This event featured Dr. Jonathon D. Quick, MD, MPH who is the President and CEO of Management Sciences for Health. The topic of his talk was Health Systems in Action: The Tipping Point for Global Health? He talked about what would it take to ensure good health for the poorest, what constitutes a strong health system, and if the vision of universal health systems would strengthen the movement towards them.

Globe Med Party for a Cause Valentines Day Fundraiser
GlobeMed co-sponsored an event with Georgetown Party for a Cause. The mission of Party-For-A-Cause, a nonprofit on campus, is to "empower and encourage college students to participate in and create events that raise money and awareness for any charitable cause".

The GlobeMed at Georgetown chapter held an individual giving campaign around the holidays to raise awareness about GlobeMed, our mission, and our partner organization in Minga-Peru.
