Candy is relatively cheap to decorate with, won’t break your budget and with many different shapes, colours, flavours and sizes to choose from, it will add a fun twist to your event. Here are some ideas for creating a fantastic retro-sweet shop wedding theme...

Invitations - Set the scene for your sweet theme by sending your guests a quirky designed wedding invitation. You could even pop a personalised lollipop in the post as an unforgettable save the date. The Candy Bar - No candy inspired wedding would be complete without a sweet bar. Fill large glass containers of varying shapes and sizes with a selection of sweets in complimentary colours to create an eye-catching display. Provide paper bags imprinted with your names for guests to fill. Table Decorations - For centrepieces fill a large vase with colourful sweets such as bon bons or marshmallows and add pretty and cheerful looking flowers like gerberas for example. Alternatively, you could have a variety of sweet trees made for each table so guests can have a little nibble in between each course! Use candy bracelets to wrap around linens for napkin rings. Or select mini cupcake place card holders for a sweet touch. Cake - Imagine a pastel coloured cake
accented with dainty, elegant macaroons. Or three tiers of your favourite childhood sweets would certainly make some magic.

HOW WE MET We caught each others eye one evening, nine happy years ago in the Britannia pub in Plymouth. We had a fun night, laughing and chatting and haven’t stopped since! THE PROPOSAL It was Christmas morning (one of our most favourite times of the year). Inside a new hanging bauble (which Stephen had secretly placed on our Christmas tree) was a beautiful, sparkling engagement ring!
FUNNIEST WEDDING DAY MOMENT One funny moment that stands out in my mind is the sight of seeing my sister doing a roly poly in the middle of the dance floor! FIRST DANCE We wanted a happy, upbeat song, so we got our groove on to Ho Hey, by the awesome folk rock band the Lumineers. HONEYMOON We jetted off to Rome - a beautiful city full of romance, culture and charm!
MOST MEMORABLE WEDDING DAY MOMENT The wedding ceremony itself - becoming husband and wife was the most memorable and important part for both of us. It was also special to have our close family and friends there to witness it. Everyone had a fantastic time at a wonderful venue - with breathtaking views of Plymouth Sound all around us, we couldn’t have been happier, we loved every single minute.
