Der Projektraum Lungomare nimmt sein 10-jähriges Bestehen zum Anlass und eröffnet im Juni 2013 das Lungomare Gasthaus, einen temporären Denk- und Aktionsraum. Das Lungomare Gasthaus verbindet die Küche als kulturellen und sozialen Produktionsort mit einem einmonatigen Programm, bestehend aus Diskussionen, Gesprächen und Workshops, einer Serie von Rauminterventionen, einem Filmprogramm und einer Reihe von Performances und Aktionen im öffentlichen Raum der Stadt Bozen. Das Gasthaus ist ein wichtiger Schauplatz unseres Alltags, er ist gleichsam ein Ort der Konvivialität und des Zusammentreffens so wie ein Verhandlungsort und Ort für den Austausch. So bildet auch das Lungomare Gasthaus den Rahmen für gemeinsame Gespräche und Aktionen mit internationalen und regionalen KünstlerInnen, GestalterInnen, MusikerInnen und DenkerInnen, um über unsere Gegenwart zu reflektieren. Das Lungomare Gasthaus möchte das Potenzial dieses Freiraumes nutzen, um in einem erweiterten Dialog Gegebenes zu hinterfragen, Gedanken gegenüberzustellen, Positionen auszuarbeiten und konkrete Handlungsräume für unser Jetzt und für unseren zukünftigen Wandel zu erproben. Das Programm des Lungomare Gasthaus bezieht sich auf Themen, die sich seit der Gründung von Lungomare wie ein roter Faden durch die Projekte ziehen: Das Territorium und seine soziopolitische Komplexität, der öffentliche Raum als Gemeingut und Interaktionsraum der Stadtbevölkerung, die Transdisziplinarität sowie kulturpolitisch imminente Fragen zu den Bedingungen der Kulturproduktion. Neben den Projektinitiatoren, Angelika Burtscher, Daniele Lupo und Lisa Mazza, verantwortlich für die Gesamtregie und Grundstruktur des Projektes sowie das Kuratieren von einzelnen Beiträgen, gestalten zwei weitere Akteure und „Komplizen“, Luigi Coppola und Filipa Ramos, als Künstler, bzw. Kuratorin in Residenz, das Monatsprogramm mit.

Lo spazio progettuale ed espositivo Lungomare coglie l’occasione del suo decimo compleanno per aprire il Lungomare Gasthaus, uno spazio temporaneo di pensiero e azione che coniuga la cucina come luogo di produzione culturale e sociale con un programma lungo un mese, comprendente discussioni, dialoghi e workshop, una serie di interventi negli spazi di Lungomare, un programma di film e una serie performance e azioni nello spazio pubblico della città di Bolzano. Il Gasthaus è un importate teatro della nostra quotidianità, un luogo di convivialità e incontro, ma anche di trattativa e di scambio. In quest’ottica Lungomare Gasthaus intende fornire una cornice per discussioni e azioni comuni, insieme ad artisti internazionali e regionali, designer, musicisti e pensatori per riflettere insieme sulla nostra contemporaneità. Lungomare Gasthaus vuole sfruttare il potenziale di questo spazio aperto per mettere in discussione lo status quo attraverso un dialogo allargato, per confrontare pensieri, elaborare posizioni e mettere in moto azioni concrete per il nostro presente e per le nostre future evoluzioni. Il programma di Lungomare Gasthaus ruota attorno a temi che hanno attraversato, come un filo rosso, tutti i progetti di Lungomare fin dalla sua fondazione: il territorio e la sua complessità sociopolitica, lo spazio pubblico come bene comune e come luogo di interazione della cittadinanza, la transdisciplinarietà e le problematiche politico-culturali più imminenti rispetto alle condizioni della produzione culturale. Accanto agli iniziatori del progetto, Angelika Burtscher, Daniele Lupo e Lisa Mazza, responsabili per la regia generale, la struttura di base del progetto e la curatela dei singoli interventi, saranno presenti altri due attori e “complici” Luigi Coppola e Filipa Ramos, rispettivamente artista e curatrice in residence per il programma del mese.

LUNGOMARE GASTHAUS

In June 2013, to celebrate the tenth-year anniversary of its founding, the project space Lungomare will open the Lungomare Gasthaus as a temporary space for thought and action. The Lungomare Gasthaus integrates the kitchen—a cultural and social place of production—into a one-month program consisting of discussions, conversations and workshops, a series of spatial interventions, a film program and a series of public performances and actions in the city of Bolzano. A Gasthaus, or tavern, is an important setting in the context of our everyday lives—a place for meeting and conviviality, negotiation and exchange. Thus, the Lungomare Gasthaus will also provide the framework for dialogue and actions in which international and national artists, designers, musicians and thinkers are invited to reflect on our present. The Lungomare Gasthaus aims to use this free space as an occasion to challenge given conditions in an expanded dialogue, compare thoughts, work out positions and test concrete opportunities for action—both now and for change in the future. The Lungomare Gasthaus program touches on topics that have persisted through the space’s projects since its founding: territory and its socio-political complexity, public space as common property and a site of interaction for the urban population, transdisciplinarity and cultural-politically immanent questions as to the conditions of cultural production. Besides the project initiators Angelika Burtscher, Daniele Lupo and Lisa Mazza—who are responsible for the overall direction and basic structure of the project and the curation of individual contributions—two other actors and “accomplices”, Luigi Coppola and Filipa Ramos, have collaborated to shape the monthly program as artist- and curators-in-residence.

Quando ieri domani

Erfahrungen und Erlebnisse schreiben sich in unser Tun und Handeln ein; sie hinterlassen ihre Spuren in Dingen, Räumen und an Orten. Unsere Entscheidungen im Jetzt gründen auf dem, was war—dabei leiten uns subjektive Emotionen, unser soziales und politisches Umfeld, unser Wissen und die kritische Auseinandersetzung mit unserer Realität. Im Rahmen von Lungomare Gasthaus werden eine Reihe von Arbeiten zum Thema „Wenn gestern morgen wird“ produziert sowie vergangene Projekte, Methoden und Herangehensweisen von Lungomare reflektiert. Das Archiv des Projektraumes dient dabei als Ausgangspunkt; gleichzeitig werden utopische Blicke in die noch ungeschriebene Zukunft von Lungomare und in unsere Welt von morgen geworfen, um Potentialen einen spielerischen Freiraum zu geben. Einige Arbeiten geben Denkanstöße und formulieren Fragen zu Bedingungen und Veränderungen in der Kulturproduktion und suchen nach einer Verortung und inhaltlichen Anknüpfung mit dem Territorium Südtirol. „Wenn gestern morgen wird“ zeigt Aktionen, eine Serie von Performances und Objekten sowie eine Ausstellung im Lungomare Gasthaus.

Le esperienze che raccogliamo si inscrivono nel nostro fare ed operare; lasciano impronte sulle cose, negli spazi, nei luoghi. Le nostre decisioni di oggi si basano su ciò che siamo stati, e nel prenderle ci lasciamo guidare da emozioni soggettive, dal contesto sociale e politico, dalle nostre conoscenze, dal confronto critico con la nostra realtà. Nell’ambito del Lungomare Gasthaus si produce una serie di lavori che ruotano attorno al tema “Quando ieri diventa domani”. Il progetto parte da una riflessione e da diverse suggestioni sui progetti passati, sui metodi e gli approcci di Lungomare e allo stesso tempo getta uno sguardo utopico verso il futuro che Lungomare non ha ancora scritto e verso il mondo di domani, per lasciare campo libero anche alle potenzialità. “Quando ieri domani” vuole offrire spunti di riflessione per invitare a formulare domande sulle condizioni e sui mutamenti della produzione culturale in relazione a diversi contesti geografici. “Quando ieri domani” è fatto di azioni, di una serie di performance, di oggetti e di una mostra a Lungomare Gasthaus.

When Yesterday Becomes Tomorrow Impressions and experiences inscribe themselves in our actions, leaving their traces in things, spaces and places. Our decisions in the now are based on what was; at the same time, we are guided by our subjective emotions, our social and political environment, our knowledge, and critical analysis of our reality. A series of works on the topic “When Yesterday Becomes Tomorrow” will be produced within the context of the Lungomare Gasthaus, reflecting on past projects, methods and approaches at Lungomare. The project room archive will serve as a point of departure while casting a utopian look into the still unwritten future of Lungomare and our world of tomorrow, as a way of giving potentials a playful scope for development. Some works provide food for thought, raise questions as to conditions and changes in cultural production, and strive to locate themselves and build a connection to the South Tyrolean region. “When Yesterday Becomes Tomorrow” includes interventions, a series of performances and objects, and an exhibition at the Lungomare Gasthaus.

„This is my land“ ist der Titel eines Films von Ben Rivers. Er portraitiert das Alltagsleben von Jake Williams, einem Mann, der sich zu einem einsamen, autarken Leben inmitten der Natur in die Wälder des nordöstlichen Schottland zurückgezogen hat. Der Filmtitel steht für die einfühlsame Beziehung einer Person zu einem Ort und darüber hinaus zum filmischen Medium, das ihn darstellt. Aufgrund seiner Symbolkraft wurde „This is my land“ zum Titel einer vierwöchigen Filmreihe, die das Thema der Zugehörigkeit untersucht und bestehende oder potentielle Beziehungen zwischen Menschen, Institutionen und Orten betrachtet. Die Reihe zeigt Arbeiten von KünstlerInnen und FilmemacherInnen, die diese Bezüge mittels Film- und Videodokumenten in vielfältige Zusammenhänge stellen. Meist zeigen diese Arbeiten, dass Nähe kaum eine Frage der physischen Entfernung ist, sondern vielmehr des Einfühlungsvermögens gegenüber Verhaltensweisen und Emotionen anderer. Die Filmreihe beleuchtet die einzigartige Rolle filmschaffender KünstlerInnen in der Offenlegung, Entflechtung und Analyse der komplexen Verwurzelung zwischen Personen und Orten.

“This is my land” è il titolo di un film di Ben Rivers che ritrae la quotidianità di Jake Williams, un uomo che ha scelto di ritirarsi in una foresta del nord-est della Scozia e vivere da solo in modo autosufficiente, a diretto contatto con la natura. Rappresentando la relazione così profondamente empatica fra un individuo, un luogo e il mezzo cinematografico utilizzato per raccontarlo, “This is my land” è diventato il titolo di un programma di proiezioni cinematografiche della durata di quattro settimane. Le opere presentate esplorano il tema del senso di appartenenza e osservano le relazioni, esistenti o potenziali, fra le persone, le istituzioni e i territori. Vengono presentate opere di artisti e filmmaker che hanno utilizzato le tecniche del film e del video per documentare questi legami in contesti molto diversi e che spesso ci inducono a osservare quanto la vicinanza non sia tanto una questione di prossimità fisica, quanto piuttosto di empatia fra comportamenti e sentimenti condivisi. Il programma intende verificare il ruolo fondamentale del cinema d’arte nella scoperta, nell’osservazione e nell’indagine di quella complessità di fenomeni che lega le persone ai luoghi.

CINEMA “This is my land” is the title of a film by Ben Rivers showing the everyday life of Jake Williams, a man who retired to a forest in northeastern Scotland to live on his own, in a self-sufficient manner, and in direct contact with nature. Due to the representation of such an empathetic relationship between an individual, a place, and the filmic medium used to present it, “This is my land” became the title for a four-week program of film works that explores the sense of belonging and observes the existent or potential relations established between individual people, institutions and territories. It will present works by artists and filmmakers who use film and video to document these ties in a myriad of contexts, often leading us to observe how vicinity is not so much a matter of physical closeness but of empathy towards shared behaviors and feelings. The program explores how artist’s cinema can have a unique role in disclosing, weaving and looking into the complex phenomena that root persons to places. On each cinema night either one of the filmmakers or another guest will be speaking about the films.

„Masses & Motets“ sind drei Musikperformances, die das politische Agieren, den Widerstand gegenüber der Gesellschaft des Spektakels, Solidarität und Zeugenschaft, politische Haltung und Vision zum Inhalt haben. Der Chor steht für die menschliche Fähigkeit, sich als Gruppe zu konsolidieren, gemeinsam zu einem harmonischen Verhältnis zu gelangen, über einen Weg, der im Dialog oder Konflikt der einzelnen individuellen oder gemeinschaftlichen Stimmen geführt wird. Die beteiligten KünstlerInnen kommen aus unterschiedlichen Musik- und Performancebereichen wie Hip Hop, performative Literatur, polyphoner Gesang, Theater, Poetry Slam, der U-Musik bzw. der experimentellen E-Musik. Das Projekt basiert auf Texten von Autoren, die auch heute noch das politisch visionäre Denken bestimmen, wie Langer, Pasolini, Gramsci, Beuys, und berücksichtigt auch neuere Texte, die für das Projekt entstanden sind. Die Performances finden zuerst auf öffentlichen Plätzen in Bozen statt, den Abschluss bildet eine gemeinsame Performance im Lungomare Gasthaus.

“Masses & Motets” sono tre performance musicali incentrate sulla presa di parola, la resistenza alla società dello spettacolo e dei consumi, la testimonianza, la proposta e la visione politica. Il coro è simbolo della capacità di un gruppo di persone di “accordarsi”, di creare un’armonia comune, passando anche attraverso dei momenti in cui le voci, individuali o collettive, sono in dialogo o in conflitto. Gli artisti coinvolti provengono da famiglie musicali e performative differenti come hip hop, letteratura performativa, canto polifonico, teatro, poetry slam, musica leggera e musica sperimentale. Il progetto si radica sulle scritture di autori che continuano a lasciare il segno in termini di immaginario politico, come Langer, Pasolini, Gramsci, Beuys e si apre a scritture originali costruite espressamente per il progetto. Le performance saranno eseguite prima in alcuni spazi pubblici della città e poi a Lungomare Gasthaus in una performance collettiva. Performances:

PERFORMANCE Act 1: Resistance Act 2: Harmony or conflict? Act 3: Vision and prophecy Exercises in Political Chorality “Masses & Motets” are three musical performances that focus on having one’s say, the resistance to entertainment and consumer society, political declaration, proposal and vision. The choir symbolizes the ability of a group of people to “agree” and to create a shared harmony through moments in which their individual or collective voices are in dialogue or in conflict. The artists involved come from different musical and performance backgrounds, including hip-hop, performative literature, polyphonic singing, theater, slam poetry, easy listening and experimental music. The project is rooted in the writings of authors who continue to leave their mark in terms of political imagery, such as Langer, Pasolini, Gramsci and Beuys, and also contains original writings specially created for the project. The performances will first take place in public spaces around the city and then at Lungomare Gasthaus in a group performance.

RESIDENZA PER ARTISTI

In den beiden letzten Wochen von Lungomare Gasthaus finden im Rahmen zweier kurzer Künstler-Gastaufenthalte eine Reihe von ortsspezifischen Aktionen statt. Luigi Coppola hat dafür zwei Kunstpraxen ausgesucht, die sich trotz der Verschiedenheit ihrer Ausdrucksweisen durch die politische Radikalität ihrer Kunstaktionen und durch die Anregungen, die sie durch ihre Aktionen gesellschaftlich in Gang setzen, vereinen lassen.

Nelle ultime due settimane di Lungomare Gasthaus, si attivano due brevi residenze artistiche per produrre una serie di azioni site specific. Luigi Coppola ha scelto due pratiche artistiche che, pur con linguaggi artistici differenti, sono accomunate dalla radicalità politica nell’azione artistica e la spinta relazionale che attivano attraverso i loro processi.

CONVERSAZIONI

Kann ein Monat zu einem Treffpunkt werden? Kann ein Jubiläum ein Orientierungspunkt sein? Einen Zeitraum zu einem Moment der Begegnung und ein Jubiläumsfest zum Anlass der Reflexion werden zu lassen waren die Anliegen, aus denen die Idee zu unserem Sonntagsbrunch entstanden ist. Zum 10-jährigen Jubiläum von Lungomare wollen wir über die Rolle dieses Raumes nachdenken, seine Zukunft ins Auge fassen und uns dabei mit vergleichbaren Realitäten austauschen. Wir möchten derartige Betrachtungen nicht alleine anstellen und möchten die Aufgabe unabhängiger Institutionen im Kollektiv und in einem angenehmen und informellen Umfeld diskutieren. Deshalb haben wir unterschiedliche Personen, die wir schätzen, eingeladen, etwas Zeit mit uns zu verbringen. Sie alle kennen die sich ständig im Wandel befindenden Bedingungen kultureller Institutionen und haben eine Vision für deren Potentiale. An vier Wochenenden werden KünstlerInnen, KuratorInnen und Architekten nach Bozen kommen, um am offenen „The Sunday Brunch“ des Lungomare Gasthaus teilzunehmen.

È possibile che un mese si trasformi in un luogo d’incontro? È possibile che un anniversario si trasformi in un punto di riferimento? Il desiderio di trasformare un lasso temporale in un luogo d’incontro e di convertire una celebrazione in un momento di riflessione è ciò che ha dato vita al progetto the Sunday Brunch. Il decimo compleanno di Lungomare è l’occasione per riflettere sul suo ruolo e per prefigurarne il futuro anche in riferimento a istituzioni affini. Non desideriamo affrontare queste considerazioni da soli e visto che riteniamo che il ruolo degli spazi indipendenti debba essere comunque discusso collettivamente in modo piacevole e amichevole, abbiamo invitato alcune persone, che rispettiamo e ammiriamo, a trascorrere un po’ di tempo con noi. Nel corso di quattro weekend, artisti, curatori, designer e altre persone che hanno riflettuto sul ruolo delle istituzioni, contribuito a dare forma alla loro natura in costante evoluzione e immaginato il loro futuro, vengono a Bolzano e si uniscono a noi per un Brunch domenicale aperto a tutti a Lungomare Gasthaus.

CONVERSATIONS Can a month become a meeting point? Can an anniversary be a landmark? This desire—to turn a period of time into a place of encounter, and to convert a festivity into a moment of reflection—shaped the Sunday Brunch project. The 10th anniversary of Lungomare serves as an occasion to think about its nature and envisage its future next to that of analogous institutions. Not wishing to engage in such considerations alone, and believing that the role of independent spaces should be discussed collectively in a pleasant and amiable way, we have invited a series of individuals we admire to come and spend some time with us. During four weekends, artists, curators, designers, and others who have been thinking about institutions, shaping their ever-changing nature and imagining their outcome, will come to Bolzano and join us for an open Sunday Brunch at Lungomare Gasthaus.

ConstructLab/exyzt für Lungomare, Alexander Römer, Gonzague Lacombe, Patrick Hubmann and Mattia Pacco-Rizzi, zeichnen sich verantwortlich für die Gestaltung und Konstruktion der räumlichen Situation des Lungomare Gasthaus. Die offene Küche und Bar schmiegt sich an die bestehende Baustruktur an. Eine auskragende Raumstruktur bildet ein Schutzdach und wandelt sich nach oben zur multifunktionalen Bühne. Die Struktur aus Holz bildet gestalterisch einen Kontrast zum malerischen landschaftlichen Umfeld, distanziert sich von den traditionellen Gebäudeformen und der modernen Villenarchitektur und orientiert sich an den vereinzelten industriellen Elementen der von der Technik durchzogenen Landschaft. Die Holzstruktur bildet ein zeitgenössisches Bühnenbild, angelehnt an die Ruinen eines griechischen antiken Theaters.

Si sono assunti la responsabilità di disegnare e costruire il contesto spaziale del Lungomare Gasthaus. La cucina aperta e il bar si incastrano nella struttura architettonica preesistente al piano terra. Una struttura sospesa va a creare una copertura e si trasforma verso l’alto in un palcoscenico polifunzionale per performance, proiezioni, dibattiti e altre idee. Questa impalcatura di legno costituisce un contrasto con il contesto paesaggistico circostante, piuttosto idilliaco, e prende le distanze dalle forme tradizionali dell’edilizia e della moderna architettura monofamiliare, per orientarsi piuttosto a quei singoli elementi industriali che la tecnica ha disseminato nel paesaggio. La struttura in legno crea una sorta di palcoscenico contemporaneo, adagiato sulle rovine di un antico teatro greco.

Für drei öffentlichen Plätzen in der Stadt (Kornplatz, Matteottiplatz, Talferwiesen) entstehen für die Dauer des Monats architektonische Elemente als Bühnen und öffentliches Mobilar für die StadtbewohnerInnen.

In tre luoghi pubblici della città (Piazza del Grano, Piazza Matteotti, Prati del Talvera) un intervento architettonico servirà da palcoscenico e fungeranno da arredamento urbano.

Simone Simonelli entwickelt das Design der Stühle und Tische—etwa 300 Laufmeter Holz werden dafür benötigt. Die Sitzgelegenheiten werden aus Holz und einfachen Materialien, die in jeder Eisenwarenhandlung erhältlich sind, angefertigt. Das Mobiliar wird während eines Workshop gebaut, eine kollektive und partizipative Erfahrung, in der handwerkliche Fertigkeiten und der gemeinsame Umgang mit Werkzeugen erlernt werden.

Simone Simonelli ha sviluppato il design dei posti a sedere e dei tavoli. 300mt lineari circa è la quantità di legno calcolata per la realizzazione. Le sedute verranno realizzate con legno e materiali reperibili in un qualsiasi negozio di ferramenta. Il workshop, organizzato prima dell’apertura del Gasthaus offre un’esperienza collettiva e partecipativa per riscoprire abilità manuali e la confidenza nel lavorare con attrezzi comuni.

ARCHITECTURE ConstructLab/exyzt for Lungomare are Alexander Rรถmer, Gonzague Lacombe, Patrick Hubmann and Mattia Pacco-Rizzi. They are responsible for the design and construction of the spatial situation at the Lungomare Gasthaus. An open kitchen and bar nestles against the existing Lungomare building on the ground floor. A cantilevered structure creates a protection roof for the lower area while the space upstairs is transformed into a multifunctional arena for performances, film screenings, talks and ideas. The wooden structure strikes a visual contrast with the picturesque rural landscape, distances itself from the traditional building types and modern villa architecture and instead takes its cue from the occasional industrial elements in the landscape, The wooden structure creates a contemporary stage design inspired by the ruins of an ancient Greek theater. ConstructLab/exzyt is developing architectural elements in three public places in the city (Piazza del Grano, Piazza Matteotti, Prati del Talvera).

300 Linear Meters by Simone Simonelli The seating and tables are designed by Simone Simonelli. Approximately 300 linear meters of wood is needed to build 50 seats. The seats will be realized with wood and materials that can be found in any hardware shop. The seats will be constructed during a workshop, which offers a participatory and collective experience to re-discover manual skills and confidence in working with common tools.

Das Lungomare Gasthaus feiert die Fülle, die Qualität und den Reichtum weitgehend regionaler Produkte. Eine Vorstellung von Identität, geographischem Bezug und Originalität beeinflusst die Speisekarte, die ein Reich der Begegnung, des Austauschs und der Diskussion schafft. Die Speisekarte wurde definiert, nachdem Hersteller, Landwirte und Handwerksbetriebe aufgesucht wurden, um die Herkunft der Zutaten kennenzulernen, und um die Menschen zu treffen und ihre Ideologie zu verstehen. So werden beispielsweise einige Produkte verwendet, die längst in Vergessenheit geraten waren und von einigen unserer Partner wieder angebaut werden; eine Hommage an die Sortenvielfalt, eine Überraschung für die Geschmacksnerven. Die Karte sieht eine Auswahl an Antipasti vor und wöchentlich jeweils eine vegetarische Hauptspeise und ein Fleischgericht. Uli Gamper ist für das kulinarische Konzept des Lungomare Gasthaus verantwortlich und wird dabei von Agata Erlacher unterstützt. Die Speisen werden sich je nach Verfügbarkeit der Produkte von Seiten unserer Partner im Laufe des Monats ändern. Frische Kräuter und Blumen werden vor Ort inmitten der offenen Küchenstruktur angebaut.

Lungomare Gasthaus celebra la ricchezza, la qualità e l’abbondanza dei prodotti provenienti in larga parte dal territorio a partire da un progetto culinario che si ispira ai concetti di identità, territorio e originalità. La cucina intende fungere da catalizzatore per creare un terreno di incontri, discussioni e scambi. Il menu è stato messo a punto dopo aver fatto visita a produttori, agricoltori e piccoli artigiani con l’intento di verificare l’origine degli ingredienti, ma anche per incontrare le persone, conoscere la loro ideologia e comprendere la loro missione. Alcuni ingredienti della cucina, quasi scomparsi, sono stati reinseriti nel mercato da alcuni dei nostri partner: un tributo alla biodiversità e una scoperta per tutti i buongustai. Il menù comprende una selezione di antipasti, seguita da una serie di piatti principali, vegetariani e non, che cambia di settimana in settimana. Responsabile per l’intero concetto culinario di Lungomare Gasthaus è Uli Gamper, assistito da Agata Erlacher. Il menù in varia nel corso del mese, a seconda della disponibilità dei prodotti dei nostri partner. Erbe fresche e fiori saranno coltivati direttamente sul posto e integrati nella struttura della cucina aperta.

CUCINA The Lungomare Gasthaus celebrates the wealth, quality and abundance of products mostly from the region. The menu is influenced by notions of identity, territory and originality, and will serve as a catalyst for a fruitful realm of encounter, discussion, sharing and exchanging. The menu was conceived after numerous visits to local producers, farmers and small artisan manufacturers, not only to source the ingredients but also to meet the people, get to know their ideology and understand their mission. Some of the products used are ones that have disappeared and are carefully being brought back to the market by our partners; it is a tribute to biodiversity and a pleasant surprise for taste buds. The menu will include a selection of antipasti followed by weekly changing main dishes, both meatbased and vegetarian. Uli Gamper is responsible for the overall culinary concept at the Lungomare Gasthaus and will be assisted by Agata Erlacher. The menu itself will change over the course of the month according to the availability of products. Fresh herbs and flowers will be grown on location, integrated into the open kitchen structure.

WENN GESTERN MORGEN WIRD Eine Ausstellung während des Lungomare Gasthaus

Klang, Zeichen und Aktion sind die drei Elemente, die die Zusammenarbeit von Stefano Bernardi und Heinz Mader für dieses Projekt kennzeichnen. Es besteht in der Ausarbeitung einer Serie von 10 Vinylen, auf die Stefano Bernardi Spuren der ersten 10 Jahre von Lungomare gepresst hat. Die als Samples komprimierten Beiträge, Erzählungen, Diskussionen, Ausblicke und Produktionen können von den Besuchern auf einer DJ-Konsole abgespielt werden. Heinz Mader hat entsprechend die Vinyl-Hüllen mit seinen bildlichen Kommentaren versehen. Seine Handschrift, sein Hang zum Ironischen, Sarkastischen und Provozierenden, begegnet dabei dem von Stefano Bernardi inszenierten Chor der Spuren, die die stattgefundenen Aktionen hinterlassen haben.

Suono, segno e azione sono gli elementi che caratterizzano la collaborazione di Stefano Bernardi e Heinz Mader per il progetto. Questo consiste nella realizzazione di una serie di 10 vinili su cui Stefano Bernardi ha inciso le tracce di una rivisitazione sonora dei progetti realizzati da Lungomare nei primi dieci anni di attività. Testimonianze, racconti, discussioni, visioni e produzioni editati come samples possono essere suonati dal pubblico sulla console da dj installata per la mostra. Heinz Mader allo stesso modo traccia sulle copertine dei vinili il segno delle sue suggestioni visive. La poetica dell’assurdo, l’ironia, il sarcasmo, la provocazione di Heinz Mader incontrano il coro delle tracce di progettualità editate da Stefano Bernardi.

Ausgangspunkt für das Projekt von Marzia Migliora ist dieser Satz, mit dem der ehemalige italienische Wirtschaftsminister Giulio Tremonti die Einsparungen an der Kultur, an der Forschung und Bildung rechtfertigte. Eine Serie von Keramiktellern animieren das Gespräch zwischen Tischgästen. Auf jedem Teller steht das Zitat eines Politikers, welches die Künstlerin aus verschiedenen Reden zu Themen der Kultur entnommen hat. Der gedeckte Tisch wird somit zu einem offenen Gespräch unterschiedlicher Positionen und Lungomare Gasthaus zum Forum eines potentiellen Parlaments. Marzia Migliora lädt den Besucher ein, Position zu beziehen und sich mit den aufgetischten Themen auseinander zu setzen. Mittels des Kunstgriffs, die Kultur in einer ironischen Brechung als Speise aufzutragen, verfolgt die Künstlerin das Ziel, Kultur als wichtigste Nahrung für den menschlichen Geist zu verdeutlichen.

Il progetto di Marzia Migliora prende spunto da questa lapidaria sentenza con cui l’ex ministro dell’Economia Giulio Tremonti giustificò i tagli alla cultura, alla ricerca e all’istruzione. L’amore per la cucina e l’estetica della tavola ispirano all’artista una serie di piatti in ceramica, che diventano strumento per provocare il confronto tra i commensali. Ogni piatto riporta una citazione estratta da discorsi di politici riguardo al tema della cultura. Lungomare Gasthaus diventa teatro di un ipotetico parlamento, in cui la tavola apparecchiata appare come un discorso aperto dove si alternano punti di vista in opposizione. Marzia Migliora ci invita a prendere posizione sugli scranni per schierarsi e confrontarsi sulle tematiche portate in tavola. La cultura è ironicamente servita nel piatto come una pietanza. L’intento del progetto è di portare a considerare la cultura sullo stesso piano del cibo, quale nutrimento primario per la mente dell’essere umano.

Stefano Bernardi and Heinz Mader’s joint work is characterized by sound, sign and action. The project consists of creating a series of 10 vinyl records, upon which Stefano Bernardi has etched traces of projects made by Lungomare during its first ten years of activity. Edited like samples, the public can play these accounts, stories, discussions, visions and productions on the DJ consoles installed for the exhibition. In the same way, Heinz Mader traces the sign of his visual suggestions on the record covers. His poetics of the absurd, irony, sarcasm and provocation meet Stefano Bernardi’s chorus of traces.

Marzia Migliora’s project takes its title from the former Italian Minister of Culture Giulio Tremonti’s lapidary sentence “you can’t eat culture” justifying the cuts to culture, research and education funding. Inspired by her love of cooking and the aesthetics of the table, the artist realized a series of ceramic plates that provoke an exchange between the people seated for the meal. Each dish shows a quote extracted from the speeches of politicians on the issue of culture. Lungomare Gasthaus becomes the scene of a hypothetical parliament, one where the set table appears as an open discourse in itself, with opposing points of view alternating back and forth. Migliora’s work encourages us to take sides and discuss the issues brought to the table, while culture is ironically served as a meal. In this way, we are asked to consider culture the same way we think of food—as essential to the health and of a human mind.

Mehrere Wohnbaukomplexe der Stadt Bozen sind Ausgangspunkt der Analyse über Grenzziehungen zwischen Öffentlichem und Privatem und die Auswirkungen des Gebauten auf die Verhaltensmuster der BewohnerInnen. Im Lungomare Gasthaus sind stellvertretend für die unterschiedlichen Wohnbauten Versatzstücke der Architekturen in Form von Raumelementen, Skulpturen und Collagen installiert. Die entworfenen Protagonisten der Künstlerin bilden im räumlichen Setting eine neue Gemeinschaft. Die Arbeit vermischt Theorie mit Praxis, Realität mit Fiktion, Privates mit Öffentlichem und Exotismen mit Lokalaugenschein.

I numerosi complessi edilizi della città di Bolzano sono uno spunto per analizzare la definizione dei confini fra pubblico e privato e le conseguenze dell’edilizia sui modelli di comportamento degli abitanti. In rappresentanza degli edifici al Lungomare Gasthaus sono installate acluni componenti architettonici in forma di elementi dello spazio, sculture e collage. I protagonisti del progetto dell’artista vanno a creare in questo contesto spaziale una nuova comunità. Il lavoro mescola teoria e pratica, realtà e finzione, privato e pubblico, esotismo e sguardo locale.

Ein Hauch, leicht, transparent, schräg, verrückt, frei, luftig wie Lungomare, außerhalb von Bozen am Stadtrand; ein Raum zum träumen, rauchen, sprechen, denken und nachdenken, trinken, lachen, fantasieren, lesen, diskutieren und schauen. Im Juni entsteht unter dem Kastanienbaum in Lungomare ein Freiraum und Denkraum, ausgestattet mit einer Bank im Schatten und der Einladung, utopischen Gedanken nach einem Glas vom feinsten Schnaps freien Lauf zu lassen. Alle Ideen werden schriftlich festgehalten und in einer Schnapsideen-Box gesammelt. Die Schnapsidee—freie Gedanken und gebührender Urlaub im Kopf—Prosit!

Un soffio leggero, trasparente, strano, pazzo, libero, arioso come Lungomare, fuori da Bolzano, alla periferia della città; uno spazio per sognare, fumare, parlare, pensare e riflettere, bere, ridere, fantasticare, leggere, discutere, guardare. Nel corso del mese di giugno, sotto il castagno di Lungomare c’è uno spazio libero, una fucina di idee costituita da una panca all’ombra e dall’invito a lasciare liberi i pensieri più utopici dopo aver bevuto un bicchiere di ottima grappa. Tutti i pensieri e vengono raccolti in una scatola di Schnapsideen. Una Schnapsidee—pensieri liberi per una vacanza della mente: Salute!

Several apartment complexes in Bolzano became the starting point for an analysis of the boundaries between public and private spheres and the impact of the built environment on the behavior of its inhabitants. At the Lungomare Gasthaus, the dwellings have been replaced by pieces of scenery showing the structures in the form of spatial elements, sculptures and collages. The artist’s invented protagonists form a new community in the spatial setting. The work mixes theory with practice, reality and fiction, private and public, exoticism and local examination.

A whiff, light, transparent, oblique, crazy, free, airy as Lungomare, outside on the outskirts of Bolzano: a space to dream, smoke, talk, think and reflect, drink, laugh, fantasize, read, discuss and look. In the month of June, the area under the chestnut tree in Lungomare will become a free space for body and mind, equipped with a bench in the shade and an invitation to reflect on utopian thoughts after a glass of the finest schnaps. All ideas will be written down and collected in a box of crackpot ideas. A Schnapsidee—free thoughts and a due vacation for the head. Cheers!

Die Künstlerin und Architektin Céline Condorelli und der Kurator und Autor Charles Esche sind die ersten Gäste, die mit uns über die Zukunft von Lungomare und vergleichbaren Institutionen reflektieren werden. Beide haben auf ihre Art wesentliche Beiträge zur Gründung bedeutender Kunstplattformen und -Institutionen geleistet und haben dabei den Austausch als Verfahren angewandt, welcher Politik, Narrationen und Selbstreflexion über die eigene Erscheinungsform zusammen bringen.

L’artista e architetto Céline Condorelli e il curatore e scrittore Charles Esche sono i primi ospiti a proporre dei possibili scenari futuri di luoghi di produzione culturale come Lungomare. Seppure attraverso approcci molti diversi il loro lavoro è un contributo determinante per la costituzione di piattaforme artistiche e istituzioni come anche per l’ideazione di pratiche di confronto che includono politica, narratività e riflessioni interne sulla loro stessa natura.

Céline Condorelli, an artist and architect, and curator/writer Charles Esche will be the first to join us in imagining the future of Lungomare and similar cultural institutions. Their activities have, in their own way, been crucial for the constitution of significant art platforms and institutions, and in conceiving practices of exchange that combine politics, narratives and inner reflections about their own nature.

Jake hat immer etwas zu tun, er kann mit allem etwas anfangen, er spielt gekonnt Mandoline und hat jahrealte Komposthaufen. Sein Zeitgefühl ist anders als das der meisten Menschen im 21. Jahrhundert. Seine Idee, Hecken aus Vogelhäuschen zu bauen, bringt dies klar zum Ausdruck. Ein 85 Jahre alter Mann lebt isoliert in seiner Luxusvilla. Er erzählt die Geschichte seines wirtschaftlichen Erfolges und die Gründe für sein Exilleben in der Schweiz. Die ständigen Auseinandersetzungen mit seinen Bekannten und die Beziehung zu dem Ort, an dem er heute lebt, gestalten seine Erzählweise, die sich von Tag zu Tag und von einem Raum seiner Residenz zum nächsten ändert.

Un uomo di ottantacinque anni, isolato nella sua casa di lusso, racconta la storia del suo successo economico e le ragioni del suo esilio in Svizzera. Gli innumerevoli litigi fra lui e i suoi conoscenti, le sue relazioni con il luogo in cui vive oggi, danno forma al suo racconto, che si sviluppa nell’avvicendarsi dei giorni e dei spazi all’interno della sua residenza.

An eighty-five year old man, isolated in his luxurious house, tells the story of his economic success and the reasons for his exile in Switzerland. The multiple disputes between him and his acquaintances, and his relations to the place he now inhabits shape his narrative, which unfolds by alternating from one day to another, from one place to the other of his residence.

Das Designer-Duo dokumentiert und hält die Projekte, Aktionen und Diskussionen dieser Tage fest und gibt ihnen eine physische und gestalterische Form. Die Besucher und Gäste des Gasthauses tragen dabei aktiv zur Inhaltsproduktion bei. Joseph Miceli und Lina Ozerkina haben die visuelle Identität des Lungomare Gasthauses entwickelt und als Teil davon eine Schrift gestaltet, die mittels Symbolen die unterschiedlichen Bedeutungsebenen und Themen des einmonatigen Programmes aufzeigt und zueinander in Beziehung setzt.

Per quattro giorni, al Lungomare Gasthaus, lo studio di design di Joseph Miceli & Lina Ozerkina si trasforma in una redazione mobile. Il duo di designer documenta e registra tutti i progetti, le azioni, le discussioni di Lungomare Gasthaus per tradurli in forma grafica. I visitatori e gli ospiti del Gasthaus concorrono attivamente alla produzione dei contenuti. Joseph Miceli e Lina Ozerkina hanno sviluppato l’identità visiva di Lungomare Gasthaus, che consiste nel disegno di un carattere tipografico che mette in relazione e rappresenta simbolicamente i diversi piani di significato e i temi del programma del mese.

For four days at the Lungomare Gasthaus, the design practice of Joseph Miceli and Lina Ozerkina will be converted into a mobile editorial office. The designer duo documents and records all of the projects, actions and discussions held at the Lungomare Gasthaus during these days, and gives them a physical form and design. In this way, visitors and guests at the Gasthaus actively participate as producers of content. Joseph Miceli and Lina Ozerkina developed the visual identity for the Lungomare Gasthaus. As part of this, they created a font that uses symbols to show and draw connections between the various levels of meaning and themes of the one-month program.

Im Rahmen der Ausstellung Little Movements II: Self-practice in Contemporary Art im Museion spricht der belgische Architekt Luc Deleu zu seinem Projekt Vipcity. Deleu und sein 1970 gegründetes T.O.P. office entwickeln utopische Konzepte und Projekte und legen dabei den Schwerpunkt auf Mobilität, Freiraum und Gleichberechtigung städtischer Funktionen sowie auf die Verantwortung der Architektur gegenüber der Gesellschaft. Vipcity ist der vierte Teil der Langzeitstudie The Unadapted City (1995–2001), welche zum Ziel hatte, eine innere Logik für den Entwurf und die Gestaltung eines städtischen Raumes zu entwickeln.

Nell’ambito della mostra Little Movements II: Self-practice in Contemporary Art a Museion l’architetto belga Luc Deleu illustra il suo progetto Vipcity. Deleu e il suo T.O.P. office, fondato nel 1970, hanno sostenuto, sperimentato e proposto concetti e progetti utopistici, ponendo l’accento sulla mobilità, lo spazio libero e la parità delle funzioni urbane, e sulla responsabilità dell’architettura nei confronti della società. As part of the exhibition, Little Movements II: Self-practice in Contemporary Art at Museion, the Belgian architect, Luc Deleu will illustrate his project, Vipcity. Luc Deleu and T.O.P. office, which he established in 1970, advocate, experiment with, and propose utopian concepts and projects, by placing emphasis on mobility, free space, and equality of urban functions as well as the responsibility of architecture to society. Vipcity was the fourth step in the consecutive long-term study The Unadapted City (1995—2001), a research on the developoment of an internal logic for the conceptualization, design, and creation of city space.

In der Mitte des Gartens befindet sich eine Feuerstelle, die Gäste des Abends nehmen um sie herum Platz. Die Gastgeber des Abends, Åbäke, Martino Gamper und Alex Rich verändern für einen Abend das räumliche Setting des Gasthauses, und stimulieren damit eine Interaktion zwischen den Gästen. Vielmehr als eine archaische Situation zu kreieren oder die Natur und die reine Lebensweise zu zelebrieren will der Abend Anstoss geben über Lebensweisen der Zukunft und Formen des Zusammenlebens nachzudenken. „Trattoria circolare“ ist eine Neuauflage des „Trattoria Al Cappello“-Projekts, welches die vier Designer vor mehr als zehn Jahren in London initiierten. Anreiz dafür ist die Leidenschaft für gutes Essen, das Kochen und das Interesse ungewöhnlichen Momente der Interaktion und des Dialogs zu schaffen.

A fire place in the middle of the garden, people are sitting around it ready to take part in the evening long dinner. The hosts of the evening Martino Gamper, Åbäke and Alex Rich change the spatial setting of the Gasthaus for the evening and invite the guests to interact with them as well as to enter in dialogue with each other. Rather than recreating and archaic moment to celebrate nature and the pure way of living the evening is a way of questioning how we will live in the future and how our being in common can be shaped. Developed for the Lungomare Gasthaus “trattoria circolare” is a re-edition of the “trattoria al cappello” project that the four designers have started more than ten years ago in London stimulated by a common passion for food, cooking and the interest to trigger unusual moments of interaction and dialogue.

„Lieder an der Grenze“ sind gesellschaftskritisch, philosophisch und von rabenschwarzem Humor geprägt. Das Konzert besteht aus abwechselnden Arrangements und Lieder des bekannten österreichischen Kabarettisten Georg Kreisler, und aus Liedern von Daniel Oberegger.

„Lieder an der Grenze“ („Canzoni di confine“) sono caratterizzate da un umorismo critico, filosofico e piuttosto oscuro. Il concerto è composto da una serie di arrangiamenti e di canzoni del famoso cabarettista austriaco Georg Kreisler, oltre che da brani di Daniel Oberegger.

The curator and editor Luca Lo Pinto and the curator Andrea Thal have, in the most diverse ways, been conceiving forms of dialogue with institutions that propose various modes of representing cultural practices. Their projects often expand the possibilities of institutions and experiment models in which formats and platforms—such as publications, performances, archives and displays—are continuously rethought, adapted and repurposed.

„Lieder an der Grenze“ („Songs at the border“) are socially critical, philosophical and loaded with raven-black humor. The concert consists of alternating arrangements and songs by the famed Austrian cabaret artist Georg Kreisler, along with tunes by Daniel Oberegger.

Im Frühjahr 2006 reisten Ayreen Anastas und Rene Gabri durch Palästina und Israel, mit dem Ziel „die Situation“ dort kennenzulernen und zu erforschen. Aus den Aufnahmen, die auf dieser Reise entstanden, montierten sie eine Reihe von Videos, die ihre Begegnungen mit Menschen dokumentieren, die sich durch ihr alltägliches Leben schlagen, die ausharren, überleben und hinterfragen. Wir lernen einen Geografen kennen, einen Professor, einen politischen Aktivisten, einen ehemaligen Gefängnisinsassen, einen Architekten, einen Beduinen. Ogni video corrisponde a un viaggio di 16 giorni, basato sul materiale raccolto incontrando diverse situazioni e diversi luoghi, fra cui Gerusalemme, Negev, Hebron, Lod, Betlemme, Ramallah, Nablus, Shu’fat e Bil’in. What Everyone Knows è un film su quello che tutti sembrano voler ignorare. Un tentativo di ripensare e riformulare la questione palestinese. Queste 16 situazioni creano un diagramma o una mappa e possono provocare una riflessione sulle dimensioni sociali, psicologiche e politiche della vita contemporanea dei palestinesi nei territori occupati della Palestina e in Israele.

In the spring of 2006, Ayreen Anastas and Rene Gabri travelled through Palestine and Israel, searching, researching and witnessing “the situation”. From material collected on these journeys, they created a series of videos that document their encounters with people struggling, resisting, surviving, living, and thinking through their everyday lives. Some of these include a geographer, a professor, an activist, a former detainee, an architect and a Bedouin. Each video corresponds to a journey of 16 days, relying on the material captured on that trip, from different situations and places such as Jerusalem, Naqab, Hebron, Lydd, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, Shu’fat, and Bil’in. What Everyone Knows is a play on what everyone seems to ignore. It is an attempt to think and to reformulate the question of Palestine. These 16 situations create a diagram or a map and may provoke thought about the social, psychological, and political dimensions of contemporary life for Palestinians in occupied Palestine and in Israel.

LEARNING MURAL Learning Mural ist eine Kombination von alternativen Bildungsmethoden. Dabei werden u.a. provisorische Kollektive gegründet sowie ein bestimmtes (monumentales) Kunstwerk geschaffen. Dies kann auf verschiedensten Kunsttechniken beruhen, meist gibt es dabei eine narrative Dramaturgie, körperliche, künstlerische und diskursive Verfahren des Zusammenlebens werden erprobt, beispielsweise mit Hilfe von Kampfkünsten, Pyjama-Parties, Lesewettbewerben, Musik, Tanz, Diskussionen, Trinkmarathons, Straßenaktivismus, Graffiti, Drehbuchschreiben und was einem sonst noch einfallen mag. Während seines Aufenthalts in Bozen wird der Künstler mit einer Gruppe zusammenarbeiten und ein ortsspezifisches Learning Mural im Lungomare Gasthaus schaffen.

Il Learning Mural è un insieme di pratiche educative alternative che includono la formazione di collettivi temporanei e che si concludono con la produzione di un genere (monumentale) di opera d’arte, abitualmente basata su un impianto narrativo, su pratiche corporee, artistiche e discorsive del vivere comune, che comprendono arti marziali, notti in bianco, letture collettive, musica, danza, discussioni, bevute, politiche della strada, wall painting, scrittura di sceneggiature, e potete continuare questa lista come volete. Im Mittelpunkt des dritten Sonntagsbrunches stehen die Grenzen und Formen des Dialogs zwischen Architektur, Design und Kunst. Für diese Begegnung haben wir die Architektur-Kuratorin Beatrice Galilee und den Architekten und Künstler Ralf Pflugfelder eingeladen, um mit uns über die hybride Identität von Institutionen wie Lungomare nachzudenkenüber Institutionen, welche die unterschiedlichen disziplinären Bereiche in Dialog setzen und einen ständigen Austausch zwischen diesen stimulieren, sowie bemüht sind, die einzelnen Praxen mit den Visionen und Methoden der jeweils anderen zu bereichern.

The third Sunday Brunch will focus on the threshold and forms of dialoguebetween architecture, design and art. For his encounter we have invitedthe architecture curator Beatrice Galilee and the architect and artist RalfPflugfelder to come and reflect with us about the hybrid identity ofinstitutions like Lungomare, which intertwine these three disciplinaryareas, constantly assuring their ongoing exchange and devising ways toenrich each practice with the contribute of the other’s visions and ways ofdoing.

Ein Film über den Naturpark Ballons des Vosges in Frankreich und über die dortigen Dorfbewohner. Der Film ist eine Hommage an jene Menschen, die ihr Glück an unerwarteten, unbekannten Orten suchen, die noch an etwas glauben, die ihre Mythen am Leben erhalten und ihre Götter verehren, egal, ob es Gottheiten der Wikinger oder des Rock’n’Roll sind, der Heilige Nikolaus oder der Dorfheilige Bruder Joseph.

Un film sul Parco Naturale Regionale di Ballons des Vosges nella Francia centrale, un ritratto degli abitanti dei suoi villaggi. A film about the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges in central France, and a portrait of the inhabitants of its villages. The film is a tribute to individuals who are seeking happiness in unexpected, unfamiliar places, to those who still believe in something— who feed their myths and worship their gods, be they Viking divinities or Rock ‘n’ Roll, Saint Nicolas or the local saint, Frère Joseph.

„Streamside ist eine Kleinstadt im Norden New Yorks. Sie wurde erbaut, als ich sie entdeckte, und ich erfand, einen Feiertag für die Stadt. Mich interessierte der Begriff der Zelebration und was es bedeutet, zu feiern. Ich suchte im Umfeld nach etwas, das die Leute dort gemein hatten und fand eine Gemeinsamkeit: Alle kamen von Anderswo und stießen hier auf die Natur. Ich erfand eine Partitur, einen geplanten Ablauf, und filmte all die Leute auf der Suche nach dem, was sie für Wildnis halten. Tatsächlich ist dies hier eine künstliche Wildnis, die im Laufe Jhdt. von vier von Menschenhand erschaffen wurde. Also begann ich den Film mit einer Nachstellung der Anfangsszene von Bambi, wenn das Reh aus der Natur in diese neue Stadt kommt. Und zwei junge Mädchen gehen von der Stadt in die Natur. Dies ist die Grundlage des von mir erfundenen Feiertags. Aber darum ging es mir eigentlich nicht. „Streamside is a little town north of New York. It was under construction when I found it and I created—or invented—a tradition for it. I was interested in the notion of celebration, and what it means to celebrate. I tried to find a story within the context of the local situation, looking for what the people there had in common. I found something basic: they all came from somewhere else and encountered nature. I invented a kind of score, a scripted program, and I filmed that—all these people travelling to experience what they think is wilderness. In fact, it’s a wilderness that’s a total construct, rebuilt by man for four hundred years. So I started the film with a re-enactment of the beginning of Bambi, with the deer going from nature to this new town. And then you have two little girls who go from the town to nature. And that is the basis of the tradition I created. But that’s not what really interested me. At Lungomare Gasthaus pentolapvessione will prepare recipes from the Talisman of happiness from all over the world—from Sicily to Liguria, from Egypt to India—in the hope that the guests who taste and share the dishes in Bolzano can embrace and taste the whole world.

Das Netzwerk für urbane Strategien „Osservatorio Urbano“ wurde 2005 von Lungomare gegründet, und erörtert mit einer interdisziplinären Annäherungsweise Lesearten und Beschreibungen der zeitgenössischen Stadt. Mittels Interventionen, die auf Aspekte wie Spontanität, Emotionen und die Unvorhersagbarkeit des urbanen Kontexts fokussieren, ist es als offenes Laboratorium strukturiert. Es ermöglicht in direkten Kontakt mit den Bildern und Impressionen zu treten, die die BewohnerInnen von ihrer Stadt haben. In der gemeinsamen Exploration „Where the Things are Wild—Anzeigen, Nachrichten, Orte“ über die öffentliche Kommunikation im Stadtraum von Bozen, werden die Grenzen zwischen realen und metaphorischen Informationsträgern erkundet und mit den Möglichkeiten experimentiert, zwischen diesen Interferenzen und gegenseitige Beeinflussungen zu erzeugen.

“Osservatorio Urbano”, laboratorio temporaneo di strategie urbane, è stato fondato nel 2005 da Lungomare e propone, con un approccio interdisciplinare, nuove forme di lettura e descrizione della città contemporanea. Grazie ai numerosi interventi, che si concentrano principalmente sugli aspetti della spontaneità, delle emozioni e dell’imprevedibilità del contesto urbano, l’“Osservatorio Urbano” è strutturato come un laboratorio aperto e consente di entrare a contatto diretto con le immagini e le impressioni che gli abitanti hanno della loro città. “Where the Things are Wild—annunci, notizie, luoghi” è un’indagine condivisa sullo spazio della comunicazione nella città di Bolzano che esplora i confini tra i luoghi reali e metaforici dell’informazione sperimentando modi possibili di produrre interferenze e influenze reciproche.

Am letzten Sonntagsbrunch ist der Kurator und Kunstkritiker Simon Sheikh und der Gründungsdirektor der Kunsthalle Lissabon Luís Silva anwesend. Wie kaum jemand anderes haben beide die Beziehungen zwischen Einzelpersonen und dem System der Kunstproduktion erforscht und dabei die Performativität der Institutionen in Betracht gezogen. Gemeinsam mit ihnen betrachten wir das binomische Wechselspiel zwischen Forschung und Produktion betrachten und analysieren wie Kunstschaffende und Institutionen damit umgehen.

A Letter to Uncle Boonmee Apichatpong Weerasethakul

The Sunday Brunch sessions will close with a visit from curator and art critic Simon Sheikh and Luís Silva, founding director of Kunsthalle Lissabon. Like few others, Sheikh and Silva have questioned and examined the relationship between individuals and systems of art production, and considering the performativity of institutions. With them, we will consider the binomial relationship between research and production, and reflect on how these are approached by both practitioners and institutions.

Dick guida un serrato contraddittorio fra regista e attrice su movimento e controllo, inottemperanza e obbedienza… sulla libertà scenica. WHO: un Atto-corale di mezzanotte, movimento comune e confuso di performer e spettatori. Mimetismi di corpi mascherati nel selvatico: una quasi-danza folclorica, scomposta e libertaria… WHERE: un incontro sulle modalità alternative di gestione degli spazi e della cultura, nel quale si intrecciano il linguaggio pubblico e la memoria individuale.

Lungomare Bozen-Bolzano

Lungomare ist ein Projekt- und Ausstellungsraum für Kultur und Gestaltung, der 2003 in Bozen gegründet wurde. Lungomare erforscht und erprobt in seinen Projekten das Beziehungsgeflecht zwischen Design, Architektur, Stadtplanung, Kunst und Theorie. Die Darstellungs- und Vermittlungsformen reagieren dabei auf die jeweiligen Fragestellungen und variieren von Diskussionen, Workshops, Publikationen, Ausstellungen bis zu Interventionen im öffentlichen Raum. Das Programm von Lungomare setzt sich zum Ziel, Kultur und Gestaltung in ihrer Vielfalt wahrzunehmen, auszulegen und zu untersuchen; beide Begriffe werden in ihren physischen, sozialen und politischen Kontexten untersucht. Lungomare reflektiert in seinen Projekten ortsbezogene Fragestellungen und nähert sich Orten an, um Bedeutungsebenen, Verbindungen und Kontraste auszuarbeiten. Lungomare è uno spazio progettuale ed espositivo per la cultura e la progettazione fondato a Bolzano nel 2003. Nei suoi progetti, Lungomare esplora e mette alla prova il tessuto relazionale tra design, architettura, urbanistica, arte e teoria. Il programma di Lungomare si pone come obiettivo la percezione, l’interpretazione e l’analisi della cultura e del design nelle loro molteplici sfaccettature; entrambi i concetti vengono esaminati nei loro contesti fisici, sociali e politici. Nei suoi progetti, Lungomare riflette su problematiche legate al territorio e si avvicina ai luoghi per elaborarne i piani di significato, le connessioni e i contrasti. Designer, architetti e artisti si assumono la responsabilità di intervenire sulla realtà sociale attuale; le problematiche del design e le metodiche del lavoro diventano così istanze critiche. Il decennale della fondazione di questo spazio progettuale ed espositivo è un’occasione per creare—nell’ambito di un programma della durata di un mese—un luogo in cui generare un discorso, in cui scambiare domande, risvegliare forza immaginativa e curiosità e condividere esperienze insieme a numerosi partecipanti. Vogliamo discutere, festeggiare e mangiare insieme, creare momenti intensi in cui scambiare idee e immergerci in mondi altri e stranieri.

LUNGOMARE BOZEN-BOLZANO

Lungomare is a project and exhibition space for culture and design, founded in Bolzano in 2003. Projects at Lungomare test and investigate the interplay between design, architecture, urban planning, art and theory. The presentation and forms of mediation here respond to specific issues and range from discussions to workshops, publications, exhibitions and interventions in public space. The aim of its program is to detect, reveal and explore culture and design in all its diversity; the two concepts are examined in their physical, social and political contexts. Projects at Lungomare reflect sitespecific issues, and approach places as a way of interpreting levels of meaning, connections and contrasts. As designers, architects and artists are also largely responsible for the way we interact with our current social reality, questions of design and working methods should be an opportunity for critical reflection. With a one-month program, the 10-year anniversary of the Lungomare space’s founding is an occasion to create a discursive space in which—together with a diverse range of actors—we can ask questions, stir imaginations and curiosity and share experiences. We discuss, celebrate and eat together, create intense moments for exchange and immerse ourselves in other, unfamiliar worlds.

Mittlerweile hat sich daraus eine Plattform zur professionellen Vermittlung und Vermarktung dieser Spezialitäten entwickelt. Zur Zeit wird Ahrntal Natur von ca. 60 Bauern, Handwerkern und Genossenschaften aus Süd- und Nordtirol regelmäßig beliefert.

Ahrntal Natur è nato come un team di progetto indipendente, per attirare l’attenzione sui prodotti dell’agricoltura contadina locale di alta qualità. Col tempo si è trasformato in una piattaforma per la comunicazione e la promozione commerciale di queste specialità. “Ahrntal Natur” conta fra i propri fornitori oltre 60 fra agricoltori, artigiani e cooperative del Tirolo austriaco e dell’Alto Adige.

Ahrntal Natur began as a loose project group dedicated to drawing attention to high quality, local farm products. It has meanwhile developed into a platform for the professional communication and marketing of these specialties. Ahrntal Natur now regularly receives shipments from around 60 farmers, artisans and cooperatives from South- and North Tyrol.

Ctm altromercato è un soggetto guida, a livello nazionale ed internazionale, nella promozione e nella realizzazione di iniziative di economia solidale per l’autosviluppo dei popoli, contadini e artigiani soprattutto, nel Sud del mondo.

Ctm altromercato is a national and international leader in the promotion and creation of fair-trade financial initiatives for the development of peoples, farmers and craftsmen, particularly in the southern hemisphere.

Specialità vegetali antiche riscoperte: pomodori “ananas”, baccelli di rafano, betonica, carote colorate e barbabietole. Al maso Aspinger di Barbiano Harald Gasser coltiva innumerevoli specie vegetali in perfetto unisono con la natura. Queste varietà “dimenticate” trovano oggi sempre più impiego anche nella gastronomia di lusso.

Old vegetables rediscovered: pineapple tomato, radish pods, Japanese artichokes, colorful carrots and beets. At the Aspinger farm in Barbian, Harald Gasser cultivates countless vegetable rarities just as nature intended. These “forgotten” vegetables are meanwhile being used by top restaurants.

Bergner Bräu è stata fondata nel 2005 ad Appiano. Alla sua base, l’amore per la birra e il desiderio di ampliare il ventaglio della produzione di birre altoatesine. Al momento la birra viene prodotta in un birrificio privato di medie dimensioni in Baviera, ma si sta pianificando l’apertura di un birrificio anche in Alto Adige.

BergnerBräu was founded in Eppan in 2005, motivated by the love of beer and the desperate search for beer diversity in South Tyrol. The beer is currently brewed in a medium-sized, private brewery in Bavaria, though a brewery in South Tyrol is also in development

Bio*Beef vom Südtiroler Bauernhof is a registered trademark program for the development and marketing of veal from suckler cows and organic agriculture on mountain farms in South Tyrol.

Biokistl Südtirol è un’organizzazione di bioagricoltori sudtirolesi per la vendita diretta dei propri prodotti. L’offerta è composta da frutta e verdura, oltre che da prodotti complementari selezionati e biologici, sia freschi che secchi.

Biokistl Südtirol is an organization of South Tyrolese organic farmers devoted to using direct marketing to promote their own products. The sales assortment consists of fruit and vegetables, along with the finest organic additive products from an array of fresh and dry goods.

Al maso Kandlwaal della famiglia Luggin crescono frutti ed erbe squisiti, di eccellente qualità. Sapienza contadina e passione per la professione sono gli ingredienti principali di prodotti preziosi, come succhi di mela naturali, frutta secca, diverse varietà di senape, aceti e prodotti realizzati con mele Weirouge.

Ripening on the Luggin family’s Kandlwaalhof is an array of excellent, high-quality fruits and herbs. Agricultural consistency and a genuine love of the work have yielded such valuable goods as natural apple juice, dried fruit, various mustards, vinegars, and Weirouge products.

Il maso Messnerhof è una piccola azienda dedita alla produzione di vini tipici di gran pregio. Si trova a San Pietro, zona classica di produzione del vino “Santa Maddalena” alla periferia di Bolzano.

The Messnerhof is a small vinery that is specialised in the production of high-quality wine that is typical of its area. It is situated in St Peter, at the outskirts of Bozen, and in the middle of the wine-growing area of the “St. Magdalener” wine.

Altromercato Ctm altromercato ist auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene ein führendes Unternehmen in der Durchsetzung und Verwirklichung von fair trade-Initiativen mit dem Ziel, die Bevölkerung der südlichen Erdhemisphäre—vor allem die Bauern und Handwerker—in ihrer autonomen Entwicklung zu unterstützen.

ASPINGER RARITÄTEN Altes Gemüse neu entdeckt: Ananastomate, Rettichschote, Knollenziest, bunte Karotten und Bete. Auf dem Aspinger Hof in Barbian werden von Harald Gasser unzählige Gemüseraritäten im Einklang mit der Natur angebaut. Diese „vergessenen“ Gemüsesorten finden mittlerweile auch Verwendung in der Spitzengastronomie.

Bergner Bräu BergnerBräu wurde im Jahr 2005 in Eppan gegründet. Hintergrund war die Liebe zum Bier und die verzweifelte Suche nach Biervielfalt in Südtirol. Bis auf weiteres wird das Bier in einer mittelständischen Privatbrauerei in Bayern hergestellt, jedoch ist eine Brauerei in Südtirol in Entwicklung.

BIOBEEF „Bio*Beef vom Südtiroler Bauernhof“ ist ein geschütztes Markenprogramm zur Erzeugung von Jungrindfleisch aus Mutterkuhhaltung und biologischer Landwirtschaft auf Südtirols Bergbauernhöfen und deren Vermarktung.

Biokistl Biokistl Südtirol ist eine Organisation von Südtiroler Biobauern, welche sich die Direktvermarktung der eigenen Produkte zum Ziel gesetzt hat. Das Angebot besteht aus Obst und Gemüse, sowie aus erlesenen, biologischen Zusatzprodukten aus dem Frische- und Trockensortiment.

Luggin Auf dem Kandlwaalhof der Familie Luggin reifen hervorragende, qualitativ hochwertige, edle Früchte und Kräuter. Bäuerliche Beständigkeit und Freude am Beruf lassen kostbare Produkte wie naturtrüben Apfelsaft, Trockenobst, verschiedene Senfund Essigsorten sowie Weirouge-Produkte entstehen.

Messnerhof Der Messnerhof ist ein kleines Weingut, das sich der Erzeugung von hochwertigen, typischen und authentischen Weinen verschrieben hat. Es liegt in St. Peter, im klassischen Magdalenergebiet am Stadtrand von Bozen.

PARTNER / PARTNERS Prader Dorfsennerei Die Prader Dorfsennerei verarbeitet silofreie Qualitätsmilch von derzeit 12 kleinen milchviehhaltenden Betrieben aus der unmittelbaren Umgebung täglich, frisch vor Ort, und stellt drei Typen Schnittkäse in verschiedenen Reifegraden, Butter und Butterschmalz her.

La latteria paesana Prader raccoglie tutti i giorni, direttamente sul posto, latte di solo pascolo di alta qualità da 12 allevamenti delle immediate vicinanze e produce tre tipi di formaggio, in diversi gradi di stagionatura, burro e burro chiarificato.

The Prader Dorfsennerei, an Alpine dairy, processes quality, silage-free milk from what are now 12 small dairy farmers from the immediate vicinity. With milk processed fresh every day on site, the Dorfsennerei also produces both regular and concentrated butter and three types of sliced cheese in various degrees of maturity.

Il giovane agricoltore Daniel Primisser produce in Val Venosta una carne biologica di altissima qualità, in quantità limitate, con cui rifornisce macellerie in tutto l’Alto Adige. Oltre a quella di pollame, si è anche specializzato nella produzione di patate, cipolle e cereali.

The young farmer Daniel Primisser produces high-quality organic meat in small quantities, and delivers it to butchers’ shops all over South Tyrol. Besides producing poultry, he has also specialized in potatoes, onions and grains.

La cantina Hans Rottensteiner si trova a 500 metri da Lungomare. La produzione è caratterizzata dai vini tipici di Bolzano, St. Magdalener e Lagrein, ma molte altre varietà sono la prova della grande versatilità delle colline intorno a Bolzano.

The winery Hans Rottensteiner is located just 500 meters from Lungomare. Priority is given to the typical wines from Bolzano St. Magdalener and Lagrein, but many other varieties give evidence of the great versatility of the hillsides around the city of Bolzano.

L’allevamento di trote della Val Sarentino propone trote affumicate, trote arcobaleno e salmerini, che possono essere preparati a casa o degustati direttamente nel menù del ristorante annesso.

The Sarner Forellenzucht (Sarner Trout Farm) treats customers to smoked trout, rainbow trout and char, either for preparation at home or on their menu in the adjacent restaurant.

Martina Schullian ha inaugurato nel 1994 la Floricoltura Schullian, con vendita al dettaglio. Da allora è sempre alla ricerca di novità e rarità botaniche e organizza numerose manifestazioni attorno al tema “arte e piante”.

Martina Schullian opened Gärtnerei Schullian, a retail plant nursery, in 1994. Since then, she has constantly been on the lookout for novelties and rarities, and organizes events around the topic “Art and Plants”.

Seguendo un’antica tradizione Ultner Brot produce pane di segale con lievito madre prodotto in casa, a Santa Valburga in Val d’Ultimo. Dopo anni di crescita, ha raggiunto oggi un assortimento vario che tiene conto soprattutto degli elevati standard qualitativi della lavorazione biologica.

Ultner Brot in St. Walburg, Ultimo, follows the old tradition of baking pure, rye bread with homemade sourdough. A diverse selection has developed over the years, with special care to the quality demands of organic food processing.

Daniel Primisser, Moleshof Der Jungbauer Daniel Primisser erzeugt im Vinschgau qualitativ hochwertiges Bio-Fleisch in geringen Mengen, mit dem er Metzgereien in ganz Südtirol beliefert. Neben der Produktion von Geflügelfleisch hat er sich auch auf Kartoffeln, Zwiebeln und Getreide spezialisiert.

Rottensteiner Die Kellerei Hans Rottensteiner liegt nur 500m von Lungomare entfernt. Im Vordergrund stehen die typischen Bozner Weine St. Magdalener und Lagrein, doch viele andere Sorten zeugen von der großen Vielseitigkeit der Hänge um die Stadt Bozen.

Sarner Forellenzucht Die Sarner Forellenzucht bietet Räucherforellen, Regenbogenforellen und Saiblinge für die Zubereitung zuhause, oder auch auf ihrer Speisekarte im angeschlossenen Restaurant.

Schullian Martina Schullian eröffnete 1994 die Gärtnerei Schullian für den Detailverkauf. Seitdem ist sie ständig auf der Suche nach Neuheiten und Raritäten und organisiert auch Veranstaltungen zum Thema “Kunst und Pflanzen.”

Ultner Brot Ultner Brot backt nach alter Tradition reines Roggenbrot mit selbst gezüchtetem Sauerteig in St. Walburg im Ultental. Durch langjährige Entwicklung ist ein vielseitiges Sortiment entstanden, welches vor allem den hohen Qualitätsansprüchen der BioVerarbeitung Rechnung trägt.

Im Juni 2013 eröffnet das Lungomare Gasthaus. Der temporäre Denk- und Aktionsraum verbindet die Küche als kulturellen und sozialen Produktionsort mit einem einmonatigen Programm, bestehend aus Diskussionen, Rauminterventionen, einem Filmprogramm und einer Reihe von Performances und Aktionen im öffentlichen Raum der Stadt Bozen.

10 Jahre Lungomare Apre Lungomare Gasthaus, uno spazio di riflessione e di azione, una trattoria attiva per tutto il mese di giugno 2013. Il progetto unisce una cucina quale luogo di produzione culturale e sociale con un programma che comprende incontri, discussioni e workshop, una serie di installazioni, un ciclo di proiezioni di film, e una serie di performance e di azioni nello spazio pubblico della città di Bolzano.

10 years of Lungomare In June 2013 opens the Lungomare Gasthaus, a temporary space for thought and action. It reappropriates the notion of the kitchen as a cultural and social site of production with a month long program, composed of discussions, talks and workshops, a series of spatial interventions, a screening program and a number of performances and actions in the public space of Bolzano.
