It's a Dog's Life DOGS ARE TRULY DEDICATED BEST FRIENDS TO THEIR COMPANIONS. They keep us company, protect us, talk to us—at least my schnauzer did. Most importantly, they love us, and we love them too. This month's issue is mainly about our favorite furry friends. There's even a treat for them too. The new school year is upon us, and I have a teen at home who is actually eager to get the new year started. Mind you, it has nothing to do with math homework. Check out the advice from Jackie Brewer, who gives three steps to setting up your teen for success. It's hard to let the summer go. We had so many wonderful memories this summer. If you can get to New York to see Hamilton, do it! It was the most memorable trip for my daughter and me. See ya around,

“DO YOU LOOK LIKE THIS DOG?” was the enticing open-invitation kind of question renowned photographer and self-professed dog lover Gerrard Gethings posed on Instagram, along with a photo of Hope, a beautiful Afghan hound with a silky coat worthy of a brand-name shampoo commercial. As it turned out, a lot of people thought they did, but Gerrard’s answer came in the form of a man named Henry, whose “magnificent hair and aristocratic good looks” perfectly fit the bill. Gerrard’s lens captured 25 amusing human/dog doppelHenry and Hope, an Afghan hound
ganger matches—“doggelgangers”—which incidentally are available for purchase online as a fun memory game aptly called Do You Look Like Your Dog?.

Peanut Butter + Oats INGREDIENTS + 1 cup old-fashioned oats + 1/2 cup flour + 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter + 1 egg
INSTRUCTIONS 1. Preheat your oven to 300 F. 2. In a large mixing bowl, mix together oats, flour, peanut butter and egg until combined. 3. Roll your dough out on a flat surface to about 1/2-inch thickness. 4. Cut out your dog’s favorite shapes with cookie cutters. 5. Place your treats onto a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
