Johnny (named after the Die Hard hero) is aloof and knocks things over whenever he feels like eating. Tommy (Capt. Thomas J. Peppercorn III) is a gorgeous ginger tabby who catches varmints and brings them in for appreciation. Tanque (short for Tanqueray) was on our porch when we moved in. After we chased down his owner via the cat’s implanted chip, we knew he was here to stay when the owner reported, “Oh, that cat died.” Tanque is, perhaps, a ghost. But, no matter how many times I vacuum the cat hair off the furniture for the last time, get up in the middle of the night to let in a meowing brat or Google, “how to get rid of cat urine stench,” I can’t seem to live without cats. They bring joy to my husband and

DEVIL’S BRIDGE TRAIL Devil’s Bridge is the largest natural sandstone arch in the area per the USDA Forest Service. If you read online reviews of Devil’s Hike, it seems like no problem! For those scared of heights it is breathtakingly, beautifully high! It’s a hike of less than a mile each way from parking your car to get to the arch area. Then, a 400-foot climb to the top of the trailhead elevation of 4,600 feet. You can walk over the arch once you get to the top. This may be the time when you need a girlfriend's encouragement to make it to the top!

DAY 3 Taking a road trip to Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend by tour service is the easiest route. Horseshoe Bend is actually part of the Colorado River, aptly named because it is shaped like a horseshoe. To access it, park and take a short walk to the cliff that overlooks it, a jaw-droppingly beautiful view with colors that light up in the water from your perch high above. Next, take a short drive to Antelope Canyon with Navajo Tours. It's a ten-minute or so drive in what feels like the middle of nowhere in open-air buses with sand in the wind. Suddenly at the end of your drive, the view turns into the most magnificent canyon. The Navajo guides ask that you take photographs on the way through the canyon, but on the way back no photos so that visitors can enjoy the canyon fully. Sedona is a travel destination unlike any other. It is the perfect city for an adventurous and relaxing girls trip. 26

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends children get their first check-up with an orthodontist at the first recognition of an orthodontic problem, but no later than age 7. An examination as permanent teeth take the place of baby teeth, and as the face and jaws are growing, gives the orthodontist a wealth of information. If a problem exists, or if one is developing, your orthodontist is able to advise you on whether treatment is recommended, when it should begin, what form of treatment is needed, and estimate its length. TELL US ABOUT NEW DEVELOPMENTS YOU’RE EMBRACING. There are many types of braces from metal, ceramic (clear), to clear aligners. The newest technology on the market is called Inbrace, which are invisible thanks to small brackets that go on the back of the teeth and a Smartwire that is robotically bent to each patient’s specifications.Treatment time is reduced and patients are also able to floss normally due to the shape of the wire. HOW DO I KNOW IT’S TIME FOR BRACES? Look for early or late loss of baby teeth, difficulty chewing or biting, mouth breathing, jaws that shift or makes sounds, speech difficulties, biting the cheek or the roof of the mouth, grinding or clenching of teeth, severe protrusion of front teeth, deep bite or cross bites where the upper teeth go behind the lower teeth.
