In the law enforcement community, mental illness has become a common focus, with some departments estimating that as many as 20% of their calls for service involve mental health. In completing the One Mind Pledge, the Dunwoody Police Department established a sustainable partnership with a local mental health organization, developed and implemented a model policy to address officers’ interactions with those affected by mental illness, and ensured that all of our offi-

Hammocks Trading Company is a Sandy Springs favorite that offers locals a place to gather and enjoy fresh seafood and land fare in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Chef William has created a menu that showcases his Baja California roots creatively combined with a Southern flair. I am a big fan of the Shrimp Poboy. The menu also features an incredible crab leg entree and oyster on the half shell. There are rotating beer taps featuring local craft beer, signature cocktails and more than 40 wines by the glass. Save room for the Interactive Backyard S’mores. Recently, Jason and William saw an incredible opportunity in the community and have launched three new virtual restaurants: Fatbacks Southern Meat and Three, Salad Hippie, and Top Bun - delivery-only. Holding true to their business model each of the new virtual restaurants continue to use only the freshest of ingredients, prepared artfully, and delivered quickly to your front door. Join me in supporting this local team as they continue to support our community and reach for new ways for you to dine in their restaurants or at home on your kitchen table. Tina and I met that fateful day on a park bench in North Fulton County near the polo fields in Cumming. Her energy was intoxicating and I found myself swept up in her vision of a “Pretty Woman” inspired polo fundraiser that would leverage emerging brands, restaurants, wines, and spirits all for a greater good. Beck and the other athletes were paired with a buddy at the Games. “The experience truly exceeded our expectations,” says Lori. “We thought Beck would want to leave early some days, but he wanted to stay for all of the practices, Opening Ceremonies, Nitrozone, the Aquarium, and Closing Ceremonies.” Beck competed in the 14 and under (U14) track & field and ended up winning two medals – one in shotput and another for sportsmanship.

BIG
LUCKY’S GRIM REAPER INGREDIENTS + 4 pounds of 80/20 certified Angus ground beef + 12 slices of American cheese + 12 strips of applewood smoked bacon + 12 fried eggs + 1 pound of deep-fried onion rings + lots of mayonnaise + 1.5-pound challah bun (sesame seeds optional). Or 12 buns. DIRECTIONS 1. Try to handle the beef as little as possible, the more that you mash and push the beef together the more compressed and tough the final burger will be. 2. Prep Grim Reaper burger (or, if you must, form into 12 patties), fry those eggs over easy and place in them in a warm oven until you are ready. 3. Have the onion rings ready. I will usually buy these from my favorite fast food restaurant, I hate to deep fry onion rings at home. Try to have them delivered just in the nick of time, right when you are assembling the final burger.
